Masterforce Pretender Lander (Landmine) Eyeglasses/Sunglasss/Glasses

Does anyone have any suggestions for where I could find some glasses / eyeglasses that could be used for Lander (Landmine)? I would really like to give him the set of glasses that he deserves so that he can finally see while battling the Destron Pretenders. Was there ever a G.I.Joe accessory kit that might work or even something stylish that a male doll like Ken wore in the Barbie line that could be used? Any suggestions would be appreciated along with any eBay links.

Can't begin to tell you if you can still find this set or if the glasses are fixed to the head, but its a start, I hope.

Those look cool, but they're more like sunglasses than eyeglasses. They might work though. Surely there's got to be a doctor or professor doll that has glasses somewhere. Hmm ...

Thanks for the link though, CyberTooth. It's something to think about for this.

Yep... You might also check, entertainmentearth.com they tend to have a large selection of random action figures.

The Stargate SG-1 Daniel Jackson action figure comes with removable glasses that might work, not sure if they'd be on an appropriate scale though

DC Direct Clark Kent had glasses (obviously) as did the Hulk Classics Smart Hulk and the Beast for the X-Men Legends boxset.

I wonder if those would fit on Lander/Landmine. Does anyone own Smart Hulk and have one of the humans with a similar shaped head such as Landmine, Cloudburst, Metalhawk, Waverider or any of the others?

Landmine didn't have glasses when he wore his armour, it was a clear visor I beleive.

I recommend luring Bono into some sort of shrinking ray device.

GI Joe comic pack 1 Baroness came with removeable glasses. They should work, being as they're 3 3/4" inch scale

That would be way to small. The human Pretender heads are more in scale with a doll sized head such as 12" G.I.Joes or Ken/Barbie dolls.

Took a second to google it but this website has a variety of scale glasses for 12" on up to 16".

I have that Hulk figure (in storage right now) but I am 98% certain that they would be too small to fit on the pretender shell. They may fit on Landmine in robot mode though.... :P

Those are 100% perfect. Heck, they say they'll make custom ones also but I'm not sure that is necessary. Do you guys have any suggestions for which ones you think will look best?

I think I'll have to measure Landmine's head. I wonder if it is bigger or smaller than a 12" Joe or Ken head. I might have to buy a $3 12" doll from somewhere to compare.

I think you might want to go with the colored rectangle glasses because the blue looks like it would match but the look a little thin so I think you could also get away with using the round ones and use the blue out of that set.

I'm not sure what they are made out of because it is obvious it isn't paper but after clicking on them, they do say you have to cut out and bend them to fit your figure. That could work to your advantage to custom bend them to your needs. You might even be able to get the round ones and cut them a little more rectangle. At $5 a sheet with mutiple glasses you could experiment a little.

Did you ever find a suitable set of eyeglasses yet? I was hoping to see what they looked like on the figure.

I bought the complete set of the 1/6th scale glasses. I'll figure out which one(s) work best with Lander and let you guys know. I'll probably take a few photos of him with a couple different pairs to have you guys help me decide which one should be in the gallery. I'll probably have him try on a few different pairs for the gallery in the end though. I hope 1/6th is the right size. I think Pretender heads are just a little smaller than 12" dolls but this should work.

I think they should fit without modding the figure at all

I think I'm more excited about getting glasses for Lander than I am about anything else that I've received recently. Maybe it's just the idea of doing something cool to set Lander apart from the other Masterforce Pretenders and U.S. Pretenders in the gallery that will be cool.

The Pretenders are amongst my most favorite Transformers ... I really can't wait to do their galleries in the near future.

I also bought new sticker sheets for Bugly, Finback and Iguanus this past week as well. They're the only 3 1988 Pretenders I own that are not MIB or stickers unapplied.
