Be very careful because there are two misleading items of information: # of in stock and when they would be in stock...Oct. 2008

I FPC'd it for you, but remain skeptical, and yet hopeful!

With all the speculation as to what two figures it was going to be, I felt this deserved a look. Both of these are figures I plan on owning myself, but the thoughts of a redecod Magnus and such were so appealing.

So man where we wrong yesterday!

is the molds going to be the universe ones?

Just for the record, my initial thought to the two unknown Autobots WAS Prowl and Sunstreaker. But then it hit me: "Naaaaah! Takara would never release Classics 2.0 before Hasbro."

The japanese versions are being planned already.

I think the most exciting aspect about this news is that we're likely to see Takara's redecos of Powerglide and Galvatron sooner than expected. Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!

Takara seems to understand their adult market pretty well by releasing what fans desire highly.

If that's true, the Botcon Seekers would have been the first off the line.

I dont really see wats the big deal about figures cause they still goin 2 be releases late fall/winter but i guess its good 2 know that their coming out right behind the american version tho

I wonder how these will differ from the Hasbro versions?
The color schemes on those are adequate so don't think I'll want to pay import prices when I'll be able to get them at TRU. A G1 colored Powerglide however would be a whole different kettle of fish

I think a red Powerglide would look awesome. I would have to shell out the extra cash on BBTS to get him over the white version.

On the subject of Prowl and Sunstreaker, I think I'll just stick with the Hasbro versions. They look pretty good to me and I can't think of anything substantially different that Takara could do to them to make me want to spend more money.

I'm sure Prowl will get more detailing, and maybe a chromed gun. Sunstreaker's engine (or whatever that thing is on top) may get chromed too, and he'll get more black stripes like the original did along the bottom sides and front of the car as well as somewhere on top.

Buying everything twice...yey...

I'm finding this interesting that Classics 2.0 would get the Henkei treatment, but then again, I believe this was already planned long before all this 'sudden' news came along
