How long do you think the Encore Line will last?

We know that the TFC G1 Reissue line went from #00-21. I wanted to judge what the community thinks will be the run for the Encore line? Seems like we are getting some reissues that we never got before. Some are rehashes of the G1 TFC line.

Personally I hope that the Encore line goes for the long haul. With some moulds lost though we may not be able to get the full G1 Series I-III line that incorporates about 100 odd figures.

I would rather have Encore of these instead of the repros flooding eBay! GOOD ONE!

I fear you might be right. Hope that you are wrong though on the 25-30. Sure that most collectors hope for more

ABSOLUTELY!!!

And I don't want to hear any excuses either this time around. If the Chinese can make new Mirage molds and STILL make a profit to make other KO's, then Takara needs to get going and remake/repair the Sunstreaker, Wheeljack, and Mirage molds. They don't have to be 100% exact. Sounwave reissues aren't, and he still is very pupular despite that.

NOT including the mini-bots, I hope we see at least 35-50 figures.

Sky Lynx! Omega Supreme! Metroplex! Ratchet! Ironhide! With releases like this why would they limit it as they have to be selling shitloads. I'm hoping for Shockwave, all five Dinobots, Scorponok, Trypticon, Fort Max, Mirage, Wheeljack, Sunstreaker, Scourge, Cyclonus, Gestalts, Jetfire, Headmasters, Gnaw, Reflector and any other figure that hasn't been reissued or any figure in high demand. I mean ****, $89 for a reissue Metroplex or a KO, which do you think I'm buying? :-?

This is a great series and with so many releases already that have never been reissued before. They are definitely listening.

Missing molds? Doesn't matter, they can make new ones with little problems.

* I'd also like to see Springer. :SMUG:

Well, if they keep releasing all the TFs I never got as a kid, I'll keep them going for a while!

That is my point exactly. I believe that this might be a preventative strike in a way by Tak/Tomy to offset what is happening in the repro market. At least I hope so. I would love to have an army of reissue Gnaws at a decent price instead of paying for the repro.

I look forward to Encore #1000. I hope they reissue every figure ever. Starting with more of figures like they already have. Citybots, headmasters, ...all the usual dream figures.

That would be sweet. Having reissues coming from non Series I-III lines would be awesome. I do hope that they can mix it up a bit with ehobby doing some of their usual magic.

I hope it keeps going for a good, long time. I still want Fort Max, the Dinobots, Mirage, Cyclonus, Scourge, Scorponok, and some of those Japanese-exclusive bots!

Oh man. Just give me a G1 dinobot gift set just like the one they are doing with Tcracker/Skywarp and I would die happy!

I am thinking that we might get Predaking again. Too easy for Tak/Tomy to do given its Xmas special release 3-4 odd years ago.

A Dinobot gift set would rock.
I was wondering about Predaking. That's a fairly expensive item. Would they reissue that again so (relatively) soon?

I have a feeling that Tak/Tomy would reissue Predaking over again. All the box art is done and ready to go.

This Encore release though might be a plastic version since the metal reissue version from a few years back was pretty top heavy and it was hard to keep it from toppling over. At least the one I have on display is. He is one of the nicer looking Gestalt so it's all good with me

I hope it goes on for a while but they need to spread the release of each Transformer. This line of toys is killing me.

I think that the Encore line started after the Tomy Takara merge so maybe the new company realises that there is a HUGE market for these figures and that is why we are seeing previously un-reissued figures appearing. So potentially, there is no limit to how far it will go. There is clearly demand so maybe damaged or lost molds arn't out of the question, who wouldn't tread on the next guys neck for a mint Wheeljack?

Considering how little it must cost to make these figures and how high they can mark them up, hopefully the line will last awhile. I'd like to see them even make some G2 or BW figures.

Having only got into TF collecting again late last year I missed the Takara and TRU reissue lines so I'm hoping Encore goes on for a good while so I can get some of the G1 toys I never had as a kid for a decent price.
