TFC Jazz features joints that could be described kindly as "loose" and unkindly with language unsuitable for a family website.
Was this problem fixed with Prowl?

Heck no. My TFC Prowl has nice tight joints and feels very solid. The TFC Prowl is no where near as loose as the TFC Jazz.

Jazz was a standout as a poorly jointed re-issue. The other cars all seem to be fine, and even Stepper is better than Jazz, so the answer to thread question is no, the answer to your question in your post is yes--technically.

I have TFC and Hasbro jazz, I've never seemed to have a problem with the joints. He feels nice and tight to me

I have Hasbro Jazz and the only things that feel loose are the head/windshield/roof piece, the two rear window pieces, the silver shin guards / feet pieces, the doors and the shoulders.

As far as I'm aware, My TFC Jazz is pefectly ok. I took him out once years back and all the joints were fine. I haven't got TFC Prowl so I can't comment on that one.

mind you, i was just looking at my Hasbro jazz and the only loose-ish parts to me were the doors

My Hasbro Jazz is pretty tight. Really nothing to complain about.

I haven't broken my TFC Jazz out in a while, but mine was a little floppy in the ankles (the car/robot piviot point). Other than that, mine was fine.

My TFC Jazz is just a bit floppy. I think it's more of a design flaw than a production flaw, though. My G2 Jazz is the same way.

Certain TFC Jazz units are quite floppy. The Hasbro Jazz is much tighter than these units.
Both are based on the G2 Jazz.
