Seibertron.com has learned that artist Marcelo Matere has provided boxart images of Transformers Universe and Marvel Crossover figures on his deviant art page. Universe 2.0 figures that the boxart covers are as follows:

Powerglide

Tankor

Prowl

Sunstreaker

Mr. Matere has also included sketches of boxart for Wolverine and an unused boxart sample of The Incredible Hulk.

You can view all of the workings posted on Mr. Matere's Deviant art page here.

These all seem a little dull. None of them are striking dramatic poses, ready to leap into battle [except for Wolverine and Hulk].

The artwork for Wolverine makes me feel even more artistically inadequate than usual.

Can't wait to see it in color. Almost makes me wish they were doing a short comic series to go with em.

PowerGlide as a figure looks awesome, but I feel he has a name change coming once I pick him up.

Ah, I didn't see that before. Seems like an odd request, though. Perhaps the goal was to appeal to collectors over kids?

No big deal though, everyone is new sometimes. FG's still doing a great job.

In my opinion this shares a similar quality to the G1 artwork.

Actually wait, the marvel TF stuff is new.

Sorry, my bad. I guess the new guys can steal teach this old dog some new tricks. Hopefully, I'll be back to following the news regularly like I was before...

wow this is great stuff! i really like the hulk's and wolvey's posing...as for the TF's i think they requested for plain standing poses to give the characters sort of an "iconic" look...very nice! can't wait for the toys! :APPLAUSE:
