Exclusive TRU Movie Voyager Class figures

This assortment of 2 Voyager-scale TRANSFORERS action figures will be available in late May early June.

INFERNO - INFERNO’s name and deco are taken from the G1 character of the same name and Movie RATCHET’s red and white pre-production color scheme. G1 Micromaster Tote—a red and gray van—was another influence in initial color selection.

MUDFLAP - This MUDFLAP concept began with the name SAWTOOTH and an abandoned redeco color scheme from the TRANSFORMERS: CYBERTRON line. The name was unfortunately unavailable, and the concept colors weren’t convincingly realistic for a modern construction vehicle. Although a DECEPTICON, the inspiration for his construction-yellow and bone-white colors came from the G1 Micromaster AUTOBOT crane Erector.

That's unexpected. Never thought I'd see an Armada mold get repainted for the movie line.

However the color scheme is quite fitting. Even though I already own Armada Red Alert. I think i'll pick this up.

As for Mudflap, he's so going into my classics collection as Erector.

Loving the yellow, too bad he's a decepticon. A couple of reprolables can fix that though.

but yes I agree, he's Classics Micromaster Erector totally.

I wouldn't have expected a repaint of Armada Red Alert. When are these coming out, Ryan? I've got Red Alert, but I'd buy this deco. What are they gonna call Longarm, though? (Or are they even gonna bother renaming the mini-con?)

Mudflap, though...I passed to begin with. Wasn't a bad mold, but if I couldn't be bothered with buying him back then, why should I now?

Man, that was really unexpected but I'm really happy! I'm sure most of oyu who have paid attention to my posts will know how much I regret not collecting during the Unicron trilogy, but now I can get some of these repainted molds! And Mudflap is one of the Cybertron molds I've really wanted. Can't wait! Inferno has always been a favorite of mine since I got his G2 version many a year ago and I will be sure to get these two when I see them.

I'll pick up Inferno for sure as for Mudflap, even though he makes a good Erector he's just such a bad figure

Because now he's Classics Erector!.

As for Red Alert's minicon, I doubt they'd go to the trouble of naming the little guy.

Wow, wow and wow. I just lost forty dollars in a matter of minutes!

Anyone else think Inferno looks a bit like G1 Ironhide?

Very happy about Inferno, The A Red Alert mold is one of the Armada molds I really like the look of, and I have never managed to lay my hands on a version of it thus far.

Mudflap... love the mold, hate the colourscheme... that yellow realyl dosnt suite him.

They should have gone green for the Mudflap repaint. Opportunity wasted!

oh good, more repaints of molds I thought were ugly the first time they came out...
and this is a perfect example of why I hate mini-cons: the little truck with Inferno should be the same size as Mudflap! why couldn't they choose objects that would at least be about the right size... #-o

Nice. The Red Alert repaint especially catches my attention, but by now my mind has been firmly made up that I am only going to buy Animated figures, and then save for Transformers 2.

Wow, an Armada repaint? They must really be desperate.
Kill the movie line and release the Animated toys already. Seriously, the decisions this company makes just makes my head spin...

I already have Armada Red Alert, but I'll nab this repaint in a heartbeat if he gets released out here.

The Mudflap repaint isn't terrible, but I prefer the original. I cant seem to spot any Decepticon symbols on him anywhere, can anyone else?

On the top right of the vehicle mode where his left arm is there's a gray Decepticon symbol.

I love the repaints personally. Its kind of like for the people who just missed out the first time around or for the people who want to collect as many as they can. :D

I also think that since the names Inferno and Mudflap are being used for the first movie figures it cuts the chance of TFmovie2 having characters with those names.

When I clicked on the title, I was expecting to see Mudflap in Inferno's colors. I like the G1 influenced though. I think Mudflap is supposed to be Hauler, except he's a Decepticon. I may get them as semi-Classics.

Mudflap reminds me of Grapple somewhat, I just wish he was repainted into Hook instead. I already have Red Alert and Mudflap, so I'll pass, but my Red alert has something to say:"INFERNO WANTS MY SHELF SPACE!"

Wow, didn't think I'd ever see any more repaints of Armada Red's mold!

Given that I collect that mold, I'll be all over this guy like white on rice. Color scheme ain't half bad either.

Autobot Jazz wrote:Well, because they're exclusives, they won't take the spots new molds could fill in the overall line.

As far as I know, repaints don’t take the place of new molds usually. With repaints, you either get them or don’t get anything, because Hasbro isn’t paying much at all to make them. A new mold cost a lot to make, but repaints hardly cost anything, that’s why they make so many.

The Movie line is strange, mixing toys from different lines, endless repaints, and so on... Fortunately, I don't collect Movie Transformers. Poor completists on this line :-B . What's next? A G1 or Beast Wars repaint for the movie line?

But don't take me wrong though, I like many from this line, mainly leader class Optimus Prime.
