Need help with my latest acquisition.

They guy who's had a repainted Sixshot as his signature for years has never owned the figure. 
See he didn't come with instructions. I've been able to get him into jet and car mode, but I'm stuck with the legs. I don't know how they transform. I assume they just fold out, but they don't seem to want to and I don't want to stress them. Any help would be great.
Edit: Nevermind, I got. They spread apart.
I thought maybe they pull down or something.

I don't own him but from what I know he's suppose to be a real pain in the ass to transform
