Courtesy of ACToys yet again, we receive photos of what is rumored to be one of the Botcon souvenir sets next week. This is the Armada Wheeljack mold repainted into what some believe may be a scorned Sideswipe joining the decent, and good Decepticons.

Love the mold, hate the deco (too garish for my tastes).

I like it. Very G2 feel to it. Seeing as how I'm a 90's product myself, I feel I'm the only one who likes this exclusive.

Ugh. I like the mold too, but the colors are way too garish. And what's with the stupid "TURBO" written on the spoiler? lol

Too many colour blind people are involved in the design stage of some of these figures. NASTY! Great mould though. LOVE THAT!

Geeez, they STILL haven't managed to fix the paint on the logo?? It's still a big blot of ink without leaving the lines "open"... I had to import the Japanese version because of that in the Armada days...

Sideswipe huh? Bet nobody saw that coming! Well, he eas seen with the Decepticons in "the Gril who Loved Powerglide."Looks like his Botcon counterpart decided to stick with them.

For what it is, that's pretty decent looking.
With some slight re-tooling and G1 colors, that could be an awesome Sideswipe for the Universe line.
I know they already have Sunstreaker, but I'd like it if Sideswipe wasn't just a repaint of him.
After all, the characters look really different in bot mode.

They've chosen the mold and colours well, I think if more people new the toy this guy pays tribute too they appriciate how well he's done.

QFT. You new guys should learn your history. In the old Universe line, there were a number of cancelled figures just when the line was getting good. Drench, Astrotrain, and the Seacons were some of them which have seen been released by the Club. This is the original unreleased prototype. As you can see, very similar.

I hope the Club does more of those unreleased figures, like Megatron and Defensor. And more that are not mentioned in the wiki page, but mentioned here.
