O.k. I must have missed something in all the botcon coverage because they seem to be doing something either really amazing or just surprising with armada hot shot in the near future.

Me 2.......I didnt hear a word from this any any news i look in2.

Only thing new i found out was that they goin 2 release a Animated Prowl with a armor sidecar but where hotshot come in2 play.

Maybe I need better glasses

For the 25th line eh? Well maybe they'll make a few more new molds and it won't just be re-releases. Hot Shot's not a bad choice, because he was pretty well characterized new guy in Armada, but didn't do a whole heck of a lot in Energon.

Any other 25th Anniversery announcements besides Hot Shot and Prime? Wonder which Decepticons they'll release, or if there'll be any Pretenders or _masters.

They’re going to make Cheetor as well, but that’s it as far as I know.

Sounds amazing can't wait for the 25th anniversary figure to arrive.

I can easily accept this in the universe lineup.

A new Armada Megatron that can still combine with Tidal Wave .

I don't have Armada Megs(well, a SCF one, but that doesn't really count) so I don't know how not decent he is. I do have the oversized KO, and it's pretty cool I guess.

Meg's only real problems were his exposed head in tank mode (albeit covered by a sliding plate, so not terrible), and the lack of knee joints.


Maybe a ball joint in the neck would be nice.

Oh no I love him he looks awesome, but I just wish he could make some poses, I mean he has nicely articulated arms and lots of detail jet no leg articulation.

Armada Megs with better leg articulation would make me squeal. I'm hoping that we get a lot of good redesigns for the 25th TF anniversary. No matter what come out though, it looks to be an expensive year, but in a good way.

Me too. The molds are fantastic, a straight re-issue of R.I.D Prime, maybe with some additional weapons would be nice though.

I believe those are Robot Heroes versions. Which is good. I don't want them waisting too much effort on the various incarnations of the franchise that really ought to be laid to rest once and for all.

Anyway, there are other figures from different generations that deserve updates over those two, though reissues would have been nice.

I wonder if we’ll see some more armada updates, or maybe something like Smokescreen repainted from Hotshot as an homage to the unreleased universe toy.

Really looking forward to see what Hasbro’s got up their sleeves.

Nope those are part of the 25th anniversary figure line were they will redesign these figures with updated technology much like the G.I. Joe 25th anniversary figures. So keep an eye out for these there not going to be robot heros although there will be new robot heros I'm sure not that I give a fly pig monkey about those.

Checking back at the reports from tformers and allspark it does look like the RID guys are robot heroes, mind you somebody over on TFW2005 talked to the hasbro reps and it sounds like some of the characters that have been announced as Legend/robot heroes may also be getting the larger new mold treatment. That's just a rumour at the moment though.

So those guys are part of the 25th Anniversry line and not Classics 2.0/Universe? Well, I suppose that makes sense. Either way I'm sure they'll fit fine with the other classics.

I'm actually a tad excited for Cheetor actually. I have the original deluxe and Universe Night Slash, and I was annoyed at him being released instead of Tigatron, but if his reimagining is as cool as Cybertron Megs/Optimus Primal, I'm on baord with it .

They'll be Universe, but they'll also have 25th anniversary on the box. The first waves of Universe figures that come out in 2008 presumably will not.
