The question I was trying to ask is what transformers figure do you hope is reissued in the 25th anniversary line. For me have to say I would like to see some a figure that was only released over in japan and never in american something like the trainbots. So what do you board members hope to see in the 25th anniversary line.

That's easy, everything and to get away from the stupid drop test toy law have each toy be a collectors edition.

What is this
"Drop test toy law" that you speak of?
As for the question at hand, I would like to see some of the battlestars get reissued, I've seen some of the designs and they look pretty cool.
And since we're getting Targetmaster Cyclonus with Nightstick, how about they throw in Targetmaster Scourge with Fracas.

Honestly? I'd take any body. But I'd stop punching kittens for fun if they release some Gestalts.
Classic Devastator my suprisingly firm ass.

A figure that hasn't already been reissued in other reissue lines.

The drop test law is were they have to drop a toy from a certain height and if it doesn't shatter into a million sharp little piece then they can make it. An example of a G1 toy that would not pass the drop test is fortress maximus that is why it wasn't reissued in the rid line of toys. As far a classics Devastator goes don't get me started on what was wrong with him. Yes I would love to see all of the G1 Gestalts reissued under the 25th anniversary banner with some improvements to Superion and Abominus.

Oh, ok, I get it now. That sounds like a stupid test to use in deciding what toys can and cannot be made.

Shortround,
After seeing your sig I remembered how much I want a classic style Predaking.
But a New Sixshot would be cool too!

I'd be happy with pretty much any of the gestalts, minus Classics Devastator (although that wouldn't really celebrate the 25th Anniv.).
I kind of doubt that this will happen though, Hasbro doesn't feel the time is right to make new ones, so I don't think they'll push old ones either.
But here's one--
SHOCKWAVE

I want Fort Max. Perhaps they can make it out of "sterner stuff".

I asked them at BotCon if they'ld do a Universe Sixshot, but Aaron said because of the retarded US gun toy laws, they can't make him. Though I don't see why they can't purposely mistransform the gun mode and call it a submarine or something.

even Sixshot's crazy futuristic space pistol zap gun mode is still bound by the gun laws?
MP Megs I can understand, but this?

I do not believe a word of "We lost the molds" story, so I want Mirage or Wheeljack. Otherwise, Trailbreaker, Shockwave, or Rumble/Frenzy. I don't want to doubt anything, but I have a strange suspicion that Hasbro will only be re-issuing toys that were released in 1984, so that means only 10 Decepticons are possible, while 18 Autobots are. However, I don't know entirely if Hasbro is planning to celebrate the entire franchise or just when it began. We'll see though...

According to Aaron, even a hairdryer is too similar to a gun for toy laws. You should have seen the cancelled real gear hairdryer transformer at BotCon. Flipping amazing.
But then again, why are there so many gun toys? Nerf! Even in the Transformers line there's they have those role-play blasters. I don't get how they can make 1 toy gun but not another.

Me thinks Aaron is hiding something.

Well, they already announced that Hot Shot will get this treatment right? I like the idea of looking at the entire 25 years collectively. There are several figures that stand out and have endured longer, with a stronger fanbase, than others; like for example Starscream. Looking at the series in this aspect make some of the choices obvious. I like the idea they're taking with Prime and the boxed set idea. With Starscream, I think the best way to honor a character like this would be with a boxed set, including several reissues of his many molds throughout the years. I know I'd pick it up, and many collectors who have only recently started getting into the hobby would be all over this as well. There are unlimited avenues that Hasbro/Takara could take with this. It will be interesting to see.

I really dig that idea for Starscream.
To be honest, that's a character that really deserves a set like that.
Now if they did that for an Autobot, who would it be?
Cause I wouldn't want it to be Bumble...

Seems like the store shelves are gonna be filled with G1 reissues. Can't wait.
I'd love to see anything especially:
Rodimus Prime
Dinobots
Shockwave
Galvy
Combiners / Cityformers
Insecticons
again, anythihng. Gonna be broke in '09.

Because classic megatron looks like a nerf blaster and he has an orange cap on him. The one I would love to see them reissue because it never made it to the united states is Overlord as well as Deathsaurus.

As usual, I vote for anything that has not already been reissued. Give me something new, or ideally, figures that never had a US release. If you want a G1 Jazz, there's been like four reissues already, pony up and buy one rather than clamor for another one at a cheaper price so that we can move on in the reissue department.

I think that's just an awesome idea.
I could just see a cool boxset going for say 49.99 that contains:
G1 Starscream, Cybertron Starscream, Classics Starscream, maybe a legend class Movie Star scream or Energon star Scream. To show off the main incarnations.
For the Autobots I think it would have to be Hot Rod/Shot.
So probably G1 Hot Rod, R.I.D Power Up Side Burn (Red with flames)
Energon Rodimus, Cybertron Excellion, Classics Rodimus. Hows that for a Box Set?
Perhaps a Prime/Primal Anthology Boxset. no g1, But Optimus Primal, Armada Deluxe/Supercon Prime (Bendy), Classics Voyager Prime, G2 Hero Optimus Prime or a Repaint of Energon Rodimus into G2 Hero. Transformations and Alt mode are practically the same.
As for G1 re-issues I'd so love to see the Stunticons/Menasor and Blitzwing. Devastator would be nice, Maybe a Head Master or 2.
