My Battle Begins Prime and Megs have numbers as well. Maybe they were all in prison together?

Could it be their battle record? Such as those painted on the fuselage of jet fighters or tanks.
But in the millions of years of history, a Cybertronian could have killed in the tens of thousands. So it becames numbers instead of pictograph.

Dudes, you know it's the production number or the assortment number or something. Especially if the figures you have are prototypes or something. They usually stamp those numbers into the plastic of the packaging.
