Stores that will be shipping unmodified MP Megatron's

I was just about to preorder a MP Megatron for myself, but I couldn't remember which stores are shipping him unmodified. So I thought it'd be a good idea to collect a list of all these good stores in one convenient easy to find place.

Off the top of my head, the only place I can think of that isn't modifing them is Hobby Link Japan.

Anybody care to add to that? lol

tfsource.com is where I pre-ordered mine from, 100% unmodified and in a mint box.

My hunch is there wont be a single store modifying MP Megatron, because he'll be packaged in robot mode so the gun thing just wont matter anymore.

Action-HQ says there will be no modification, and if it comes packaged in gun mode, they will transform it to Robot mode before shipping.

Not really sure I like that though. I don't want people's grimey little hands all over my Megatron!

as far as I know, only Big Bad Toy Store is modifying the figures. Everybody else is selling him unaltered.

I think toynk.com will have unmodified TFC-6 reissues. I can go to the store this weekend and check it they will have those and unmodified MP-05's.

EDIT: Sorry, I hit submit too fast.

I know Xybertoys (based in Hong Kong) will ship them unaltered. From what I read they said they would open it and transform it for anybody who requested that (cuase customs is unlikly to have a problem with a robot) but otherwise would leave as is.

I'll be getting them in unmodified no matter what mode they come in. Won't be getting many though, already had to put in a quote on how many I want and they can't tell me how much yet as the weight is unknown.

I understand bbts wants to sell this product and have the law on their side as far as legal issues go, but honestly, who wants to buy an mp-megs with that gaudy and ugly looking orange cap that essentially ruins the toy (because as far as i know theres no way to remove it without damaging the toy). and one thing i don't like:
they're taking some of the stock of these toys, and essentially ruining them with the cap. Now im not saying that the toy is ruined, but that just means theres gonna be less un-modified figures on the market (not a significant number though).

dont get me wrong, i think bbts is one of the best places to order from, but i think they're being waaaaay to politically correct here (is that the right word to use?).

To me the cap doesn't seem necessary at all, because the thing is supposed to ship in gun mode.

Um... thats pretty much WHY it'll be needed. If customs see a gun in their xray machine thing.. they'll investigate/ruin at the very least without some sign it's not real.

Wouldn't it be logical for MP-05 to be boxed in Robot form? I mean if it really is that big of an issue during X-Ray, keep it in its robot form. And the figure is more of a collector's item, not exactly a toy.

Alternatively, if the orange cap is require for it to enter the US, why not make it a temporary modification? As is I am saving up for him, and I don't know if i want to pay $100 for something that has the halfa** orange cap on it permanently.

Quick question, this whole "cap" deal, that only applies to allowing the toy to be shipped into the country, not from state to state right?

I was just about to post that as news. I have a bad habbit of not checking our own forums before I post, but this time I did. So front paged and credited (among the others)

Oh well. Can't beat the law. I'm not complaining though, I'm not sure how it effects Canada mind you. Can't remember if the Snail gets has to ship through the states... :-?

Well, if getting Megatron unmodified won't happen, the next question should be how do we remove the cap?

Once again, I remind everyone of TFC #6. Megatron came, shipped direct from overseas mind you, in gun form. G1 Megs looks a hell of a lot more realistic than the MP Megs will.

Now, how many of you had problems with him? Show of hands please.. anyone, anyone, anyone? No? Well, there you go.

I for one am happy about the orange caps, especialy those placed on laser type toys, or guns with clear green plastic chambers.

These toys are fun for those who enjoy them, but we have to think of the safty of everyone who may mistake that for a real ray gun.

These are social concerns! Think of the amont of roberies commited last year buy realistic looking plastic laser arms.

I feel we as a fan base should be more compassionate in these matters and maybe even rally in suport of the families who've suffered casualties in the ray gun wars both home and abroad.

Yes, Megatron is fun, but is that fun realy worth our sense of security and understanding for our fellow man?

Once we have a legitiment list of stores that will be shipping unmodified Megatron MP-05s please post it, so i can cancel my order to HLJ and order from another source, i'm sick to my stomach now, and i'm very disappointed in the toy laws and HLJ for conforming to our countries outlandish law..parents lock your kids up at night, and cops make sure that 10 year old has a real gun before you draw your side arm!!

I hope it won't come to that!! If it does, lets hope they will sell unmodified resculpted barrels on ebay so we can unscrew the modified version and replace it with an almost identical Non orange tipped version.

Barbarian!

Also, if my kids touch this first I'll wonder where I got kids from, second, they'll learn why to be afraid of guns as I beat them with bricks!

Another site falls prey to the BS that BBTS started.
