Why bother to re-release g1 stuff AGAIN in Japan when weve already had it a gazillion times already and yet we STILL haven't had classics.

Skywarp I understand, except they should make a proper starscream. Plus the new recolour will probably be even more prone to bearking at the mid-section due to the original problem plus its a second run of the mold which could cause probs.

Starscream is going for 70 dollars in some shops in japan due to noone buying it.

Takara will repaint a $90 figure that is slow moving and being discounted.

Meanwhile, Hasbro is gonna make highly desired repaints available only thru BotCon.

I think they need a marketing department overhaul, they obviously don't get it.

Do you have an MP-03? I don't myself, but just by inferring from their posts, there's a problem with the midsection, duh. I've heard about several different issues with Starscream, but don't recall anything about him snapping in half.

The "repaints from Hasbro" refers to the Botcon 2007 set, with the Classics Thundercracker, Dirge, and Thrust repaints. That whole chestnut.

oh, yeah I heard about those repaints, i thought it was in reference to Hasbro doing Mp-3 repaints.. that makes more sense now... and as far as MP-03 yeah i have him, I don't understand the mnid section problem, mine is ok, I do see where it could snap, but who the hell would be playing with him that hard, or for that matter placing him in an area where he could fall to the floor and break?? mine is safe up on a super high shelf in my walkin closet, he is out of box and visible, you just have to look up.. but its a nice scene from that point of view, very imposing.. and I usually get my step stool and look at them face on, wow what a sight, I can't tell you how cool they look at eye level as apposed to looking down on them on a shelf, it really makes a difference..

dammit its not coming till september???

agh!! 6 months till a figure i wont buy (though i know i will cuz i'll be jonesin for a masterpiece fix) and then probably ANOTHER 6 months until a NEW masterpiece.

damn you takara!!!! why couldnt mp-3 just not suck?!?!?!?! then all would be right with the world!!!!

Hmm, I don't see any purple anywhere in those tiny pics. I have a bad feeling they may not be any purple.

Are you talking about the Skywarp pics? There's purple on his shins and his fists, and he has an orange canopy.

Takara wouldn't mess up a colour scheme again, would they?

One wouldhope they learned their lesson. If you want to sell these out, G1 paint is a must.

I see the paint now. No purple in alt mode though. Purple highlights would be nice. Then again, this is probably just a prototype. If I recall, the first starscream shots had the correct coloring and the crown/cape. So who knows.

Yes, I couldn't see any purple in alt.mode, either. Just a trim on the wings would be nice!

A little trim on the wings and the tail fins and he would be quite perfect. Well, that and a detailed pilot. The pilot will get moved to Starscream.

Hmm, if they releaseall the seekers, as it looks like they will, all 3 of my little megs guns will have a home.

I'm so looking forward to encore. I'm getting that original one tape soundwave for sure

Especially if he has the blue windows, energy axe, etc. Reissue Prime (US) was one of the first ones I bought when getting back into collecting. I have always kind of regretted him.

Why would you regret him? Not that I've ever owned a G1 Prime.

I know the New Year's Special Version had the blue optics and windows. I didn't pick up the last reissue TFC-00 but I believe he has the clear windows and yellow eyes. That seems to be the picture floating around for the new Encore line but those appear to be photos of the originals.

I spoke with Curt at TFSource.com and he confirmed that they were going to be getting the pre-orders up for their site this weekend. He's getting all the info on them now and should have more details in a day or two. He usually always posts several good, high quality pictures with his pre-orders when possible so they might have a good picture then.

I know for certain that the Hasbro Commemorative is a Souldblaster repaint, and technically from what I read, the TFC reissue is a Soundblaster repaint with a reworked single cassette chest.

I'm glad they are re-releasing a single tape Soundwave. I've been wanting the TFC reissue but couldn't justify the ridiculous price. I also want the Soundblaster reissue because I think the black with the clear red chest looks great. I guess I can pursue that one now and wait for Encore Soundwave.

I hope that Takara/Tomy takes the hint that we do want reissues. I have a feeling this line will probably do pretty well.
