Hey, just wanted everybody's opinion. I just won an ebay lot of four Ultra Magnuses MISB, there are two RID's and two G1 Reissues, bothe in english and japanese packaging. I'm going to keep one of each and ebay the other two. I know this sounds like a confusing SAT question, but which should I ebay? Thanks.

Keep the American ones, and sell me the Japanese G1 Magnus. Yessss?

I guess i'd keep the Japanese ones, if only to be able to say look they are Japanese. instead of the boring American release. :P

A)the reissue has the long smokestacks
B) the car robots box is better(imo)than the RID box
C) I like japanese stuff...

I'd keep the Japanese releases and sell off the Hasbro ones

Congratulations on the ebay auction. I saw that auction and it was actually going for a very good deal when I happened to see it. I constantly check ebay for Ultra Magnus in the hopes of coming across a Diaclone version.

I honestly don't know if there are any real major differnces in the models and what quality the plastics are in each. I know that typically the Japanese versions go for a higher price on ebay usually but I happen to like the Japanese box art so I'd be more inclined to keep those.

the Japanese generally have stronger plastics and more die cast in them compared to the US releases. They also tend to feature parts that are left otherwise unpainted in the US version

Get rid of the Hasbro Versions. Japan is Uncut and Uncensored with their toys, no modifications or anything. So stick with the Japanese ones.

Are you trying to cleverly and covertly say that the Japanese versions of Ultra Magnus feature some sort of transformable nudity?

G1 magnus, go for Japanese, his missiles are the right lenght.

I dunno if there is any real difference between car robots magnus and RiD magnus, but i'd generally go for the Japanese one. Japanese one would probably make more money though.

Thanks forthe responses. Since I'm going to open these little guys as soon as I get them I suppose I'll go with the japanese versions. A good toy is worth so much more to me than a big paypal transfer!

LOL I'm not surprised I was gonna get a comment like this back. No, I was just saying it keeps its mold such as the long smokestacks on Magnus and sometimes die cast, which I don't know if RID has.
