I'd say Menasor for both, just because I already have Metroplex and really, REALLY want that guy. XD

And don't listen to Red. Metroplex is actually pretty cool. Altmode can be considered a bit on the "meh" side and his feet make Bigfoot blush in shame, but he's quite articulated and fun to mess around with, and that axe of his is just all kinds of awesome.

Menasor all the way! I wasn't expecting much because he was warming the shelves everywhere, but he ended up being my fave Cybertron baddie.

If you have the opportunity to get them both for $30, then do it. I like them both. Metroplex because he can be so big and tall and Menasor because he's got great coloring and I really dig the Mini-con in the chest thing. It makes him seem like a strange construction mecha. At least to me. Get both.

so it doesn't look like it tapers out so wide...

Menasor looks pretty good,

I doubt that I will have a choice, which ever better deal

S'true but it also has some screw holes in it if I remember correctly. One of the reasons I don't display mine that way.
