Thanks Ravage but it didn't help me.
I have both MP Megs and Takara reissue G1 Megs. My MP didn't come with the plug but G1 did. It's made of wood and is glued into the barrel

I got my G1 Megs from Robotkingdom. He was cheaper, plus he didn't have the plug.
I got MP Megs from BBTS though, I used a pair of pliers to take the plug out.

man, i knew that was going to happen with that release.. cancelled my pre-order.. and now with the encore release, i'm not too upset about my idea. thing is, just wondering if the american megatron encore release will have some crappy plug or orange barrel. i just can't see it getting released in america without some mod.

Neither release had a tip or was released in America- they were both Japan releases.
US toy laws prevent American retailers from selling any firearm replica without a blaze-orange tip. BBTS opted for a custom orange tip to be placed on the figures so they could be legally sold.
Retailers such as TFSource who do so can be prosecuted for it, but it is unlikely that any action will result.

Wood? Why is Megs stuffed up w/wood? I'll bet that if you try to take it out, pliers or any other way, the wood'll snap depending on how strong it is. If it looks pretty sturdy, I say use pliers. If not, I'm at a loss.............

Bah, I saw what BBTS did with their G1 Megs and that Orange Plug looks a lot worse getting out than the MP one. I would blowdry the barrel a bit to warm the glue up and then gently pull it.

If it's wood you could try putting a screw into it and loosening it up that way.

That's my thought as well. Take a self tapping wood screw and drill it into the end. Then just grab some pliers and pull on the screw.

Thats how I un-did mine. It takes about 10 mins on high. Then you have to Quickly wipe it down with a wet papertowel.

that kinda sucks that it takes away some of the functionallity of the toy - i mean it cant possibly fire the pellets with a wooden plug in the end
