G1 combiner size question

Over the course of my life I have owned nearly every G1 combiner but never at the same time. I will finally have a complete Predaking Monday from BBTS and it got me thinking. As a kid I remember Monstrustor being tiny next to (most) of Piranacon. Now I own neither. But at different times I've owned (either real or KO's) of Devastator, Menasor, Bruticus (and RiD Ruination), Superion, Abominus, and assorted Protectobots, Seacons and Technobots, most of which are lost to time and younger family members. So what I'm asking for is a group shot of them all. If you don't have all of them post what you have together for scale. My goal is to own them all again but frankly, I want to see if it'll be worth it.

Monstructor Is the size of the micromaster combiners. The rest are all about the same height except Preaking who is bigger.

I still have the heads of Menasor, Ruination and Abominus and the size differences are huge. And the gallery doesn't even have half of the gestalts. Does anyone have a shot of them all together? Even if it's just the Decepticons, I still request a group shot.

I have no scientific evidence to back this up, but it seems to me the G1 combiners got slightly larger as time went on. Not counting Monstructor or Predaking, and really not counting the Autobot combiners becasue all I have is Computron, but Bruticus is slightly larger than Menasor, Pirahnacon is all around wider and stouter than the others but seems just a touch shorter and Abominus seems slightly taller than Bruticus. I don't have Devastator, but since the individual Constructicons are larger than other combiner limbs, I'd venture that Devastator also would be slightly taller than Menasor, who as fars as I can tell is the shortest one. It's all a matter of small measurements, minds you.

I remember Menasor as shorter than Blaster and Shockwave

. I still have the faceplate on top of my monitor and if it weren't for his bunny ears I could put it inside the Abonimus head and still have room in there. I'm waiting for Predaking to get here (from UPS today) and after that is the Seacons. Than Pretender Monsters. Than the rest of Aboninus... I have to get them a piece at a time and I just wanted to know if it would be worth the time to complete them all. For Devastator and Menasor, I think I'll just get the KO's that are at the local flea markets every summer and just get the two missing Stunticons from the set. And save myself a hundred dollars.

I never really cared for any of the Autobot combiners. First Aid was an interesting character but even in (and after) "War Dawn" the Aerialbots only had two personalities: brash/impulsive and Silverbolt.
I think I'm going to stop after the Decepticons (if I can

)
Man, my girlfriends going to kill me...
Oh, to hell with it! Transformers were here first!
And Decepticons FOREVER!

Have Then All!! Will Comply!!!

Hi! I have being collecting transformers since they first came out in 1984. I'm 43 yrs. old now and still am a hugh and serious collector! I have all the of the G1 combiners for both Decepticons and Autobots! They are definitely in my opinion worth the money to get them all! I think the combiners of G1 series were some of the coolest ever produced! And I even have the other two color versions of Devastator, orange and yellow.
Just for the record the Autobot combiners are just as good as the Decepticon ones! I'm esp. fond of the Technobots, Computron and the Protectabots, Denfensor. Superion is ok too, but not as sturdy as the others.
I will try and get a group picture of all the Decepticons Combiners for you. Just PM me your email address and I send you pics via attachment! The only combiner I don't have yet is the new Walmart Classic Devastator. But he's on my hit list very soon! Until All Are One!

I do believe predaking is still the largest gestalt created although I could be wrong on that

I thought Pirahnacon was the shortest of the combiners but I might be wrong. I also remember Devestator being smaller than some of the later combiners. I think Hasbro said screw scale and some of the sizes don't make sense to me. I also find it funny that some regular figures are as tall or taller than some of the combiners. Jetfire is pretty tall but to me he seemed to be appropriately large for his alt mode and for the size he represented on the show but then you have figures like Blaster who are ridiculously tall and he is supposed to be a boom box. I like the fact that he dwarves Optimus Prime and his arch-rival Soundwave.

I have Predaking on my reissues shelf and he's my third tallest transformer, behind God Ginrai and Star Convoy

Holy crap, Predaking is huge! Monstructor was only waist high on him. Plus he can move! The designer went on to work on Power Rangers, didn't he? It has the same design beats as he original Megazord if I remember it correctly. Man, I wish I had my brothers black and gold Megazord for comparison. The only problem with P-king isn't even a toy one. I ordered the incomplete one from BBTS and the directions it came with are for Powermaster Op from Hasbro 2002. I emailed them for a new one but I'm not holding my breath.
