In a move that is sure to make GI JOE and TRANSFORMERS fans sigh with a bit of sadness that they still have to wait their turn for a crossover set, Takara Tomy is showing in their most recent publication in the November 2008 issue of 'Figure Ou' magazine a possible crossover with... Disney???

There is a picture on this page of a robotic silhouette similar to that of a mechanical Mickey Mouse, and a logo next to it showing what can best be described as a G2 Autobot logo that has been Mickey-ized, for lack of a better term.

You can see the original thread here, which includes a scan of both the silhouette and the new mixed faction symbol.

No word yet on how extensive this will be, or on exact details at this point.

This is a concept I had assumed would be made someday. My son is a big fan of the movie Cars, and one day he asked me what would Lightning McQueen look like if he transformed into a robot. That's my boy!

Most Disneyformer would suck, but some figures, like V.I.N.Cent and Maximillion and some of the Cars could be O.K.

They did a few for Toy Story that sucked, but seemed to sell well.

Imagine Kingdom Hearts and Darkwing Duck Transformers?

Other then that this will be a very very strange thing, but lets see it first.

Well Disney allready has Star Wars crossovers and an Indiana Jones crossover

I bet these will be sold at downtown Disney and the Japanese store at the Japanese Pavillion in Epcot

You know the sad thing is that these will probably be superior to both the Star Wars and Marvel Crossovers. Simply because they're done by Takara and not some Hasbro side team.

I’m actually not annoyed by this. The idea sounds kind of cute, and really, why not? I think it’s a nice “idea”.

I also want a Joe crossover.

I can only see this as an attempt to bring Transformers to a younger audience. Which isn't a bad thing, per se. Just not my cup o' tea.

Come on people give it a chance. Critics have said the same thing about Squaresoft and Disney crossover and they prove the critics wrong with excellent series of games called Kingdom Hearts...
