Does your G1 collection feel a bit deprived of human characters? Well,
Impossible Toys is now making a Transforming Exo-Suit Spike. The figure will be in scale with your G1 figures and will be released later this year. William from Impossible Toys had this to say:
We have designed and scaled this item to fit perfectly with the G1 fans. The size of the Spike prototype is about 7-8 cm. We are currently working on finding the exact size we feel will be in line with the G1 toys. It also has wheels that will allow it to function and roll in alt mode. The item will be set for release late 2008 or sooner.
William also answered the scale question for us regarding the TFA figures – Sari, Captain Fanzone, and Prof. Sumdac.
With regards to the TFA figures they will also be around 8 cm in size. As in the cartoon the toys seem to change scale a lot of the time, so we tried to come up with a size that will work with the deluxe and voyager class as that is what scale we think most of the toys will be released in.

I have to admit, that's pretty cool. As long as it's not at some insane price, I may pick it up.

This is one of those "Sweet-idea-but-poor-execution" figures. I like the "robot" (?) mode, but just having it bend over to transform is weak. If we can get a fully poseable battle Roller custom, why not spend a bit more time on this?
That said, it
would be kind of neat to have one to stand next to my Bumblebee, gazing up at a suspended Unicron, saying, "Aw, s**t, what are we gonna do now?"

I'd rather it turned into a giant Arcee head and had Daniel as the pilot.
Then make a Cerebros head with Spike in it at the same scale.

That's awesome! They have to make a Daniel too. That transforms in that little 'car'.

I think I'll have to get this to place with the 86 cast.

Wow. I've been imagining this Exo-suit toy since 1986!
Now, it's finally here!
One question though. Why is his transformation only involves bending down?

its cool and all , but it dont look like an EXO Suit, it just looks like a robot body with a head stuck on it .. The proportions are off.. Spike is suppose to be inside the suit , hes not suppose to be the suit , if they made the shoulders and stuff wider it would look like a suit someone could fit inside of ..

Impossible Toys line-up for things they are making is pretty impressive. This thing fits the bill.. as always.

True, but this look slike just a prototype. I'm assuming the production version will look a lot better.
And even iof it doesn't, idc, I'm still getting it.

I agree with that. And i'm not liking the bend-over mode.

It occurs to me. The chances are probably quite good of them doing Chip, Scuxxoid and Autobot X.

I love the human characters. I think the figure does the movie enough justice to warrant a purchase. Theres no way to make a good looking exo suit unless you actually have a large suit and figure to put inside, so it looks less life robot with man head.
