Dark Scorponok = Energon Scorponok + cyber planet key?

so in other words he can do everything "plus more"
than his energon counterpart?

Scorponok should have come with a mini-con
called oh I don't know... maybe Zarek?

I would assume that Cybertron Dark Scorpy is an upgraded E-Scorponok. I don't really know since I haven;t seen much of Cybertron or Energon.

It would have been a nice reference to the G1 if they'd have kept him a headmaster ala Overload or at least had the Zarak minicon, I'll agree with you on that

Are you talking about the toy? If so, then yes, they're identical, except for the colour scheme (which is an homage to G1 BlackZarak) and the tail canopy area is modified to have a Cyber Planet Key slot.

As for show characters, I never saw him in Cybertron.

I feel bad about not picking this fellow up when I had numerous chances. He was everywhere. I couldn't move for all the Dark Scorponoks.

O well, he's my target for May.

Because it looks mean as hell.

He's a really great figure. somewhat limited poseability, but the Jet mode makes up for it.

A Headmaster type gimmick would have been great.

Maybe over there. Over here in Holland I saw him for 17 Euros instead of the usual 40 for a toy his size, plus he was quite abundant a year ago.... Excuse me for a moment.

I believe they took off the hook on the tail of the Cybertron Version. I've seen only one of the Cybertron versions at my KB Toys, but haven't seen anymore after that. I still like Energon Version though.

I can't find any on Ebay.co.uk.

There's a couple still sitting in various places in the Memphis area, but they haven't dropped the price much - he's still $25.

Looks like the planet key final did some good in this mold! the tail on dark scorp is a far more attractive mold than the original-particularly in jet mode
