What a difference a Year can make.

At about this time Last year, we where all twiddling our thumbs waiting for Hasbro to actually release some Movie Figures into retail.

We would spend the following few months eagerly pursuing figures that where not there.

Fast forward roughly one year. And Hasbro is churning out figures faster than our wallets can actually afford them. By the time my paycheck arrives, I already want more figures than I can afford. I haven;t had to actually prioritize my TF purchases since.. since.. Well never actually.

I mean in the course of about 3 months we've gotten Most of Animated, Most of Universe, and a few sporadic extras.

There's still quite a few figures left to release before or for Christmas.

We are swimming in transformers now. 50 plus new figures released in a little over 3 months. (not counting, legends, fast action battlers, Activators or anything under deluxe price point. etc...)

WOW!

Take a moment to take it all in.

We have seen quite a bit recently, and I for one and pleased with the pause we have right now, as the only TF's I'm looking for won't be out around be until late October/Early November. Gives my finances a chance to catch up!!

Harsh words :P

Why not try emailing your picture to the online store you're buying from? ;)

Funnier still is going over to BBTS and seeing movie concept BB for $7.50

It was not so long ago that people were freaking out about this "rare" mold

The board was drowning in BB posts, funny what a perceived transformer shortage does to collector's

It was a coming of age story for Transformers n00bs everywhere.

"In my more formative years, when I paid re-tarded amounts of money for CC BB..."

08 BUMBLEBEE!?!? YOU MEAN THAT SUPER RARE FIGURE WITH ONLY A FEW HUNDRED MADE, THAT SCALPERS SWEPT UP BEFORE ANYONE COULD GET!?!?

It’s amazing how so many people failed to learn supply and demand. Of course, if you tried telling them how he’s not rare at all, you’d quickly find yourself being doubted by half of the forum.

Good times, good times.

Haha - won't we have fun when the new movie gets released and new group of fans are born.

I feel that this bountiful time is simply due to the movie in 2007. Transformers made a boat load of money and built a huge following world wide. TFA also helped out. Hasbro reciprocated with churning out lots of new toys. Unfortunately - it can take a year or more to produce a toy from concept ideas to reaching a store's shelf. I think that is why we saw a famine in the spring.

of course, you kinda have to love the "I told you so" factor...

on subject, i personally would rather the shelves be swarming with options than to walk in and see bare shelf after bare shelf.

granted here my options are fairly limited to the wal-mart movie exclusives, animated wave1-2, and universe prowl...oh well.

Let's have a minute's silence for those who still remember the post-G2, pre-BW drought.
