Rare Sludge Prototype

I saw a video on Youtube when I was looking for videos of Sludge. One that came up was titled: "The Gold Dragon (Autobot Sludge) Prototype Review". The toy in this video is Sludge with wings and a dragon head all chromed out in gold. It's kinda cool, I guess.
I was wondering if this a true precurser to Sludge, as the author of the video states, or if it's a knock off. Anyone know anything about this supposedly rare toy?

It's a vintage 80s KO sold alongside the original. The video author likely had it as a kid and feels an attachment to it - "true"-ness is a matter of opinion.

It is authentic!! It is a extreamly rare prototype, it just was never realeased. This person is a very lucky one to find such an item!!

I have the Pre-History Slag. He's a fun toy, however, some of the plastic is very weak, so I don't transform him much. Also, the paint chips pretty easy. Other than that he's fine...
