I'm just curious how many people here own him. I'm lucky enough to own two of him ( one from childhood, and the other from being at the right place at the right time ). Both are in excellent shape and 99% complete. So with a show of hands how many own him? How many plan on owning him?

When the me-having-twenty-thousand-yen-to-spare and the him-being-in-in-the-hobby-shops-I-go-to stars cross I'll pick him up. Until then I'd be more excited by the likes of Brainstorm, Overlord and 25th Cyclonus.

Mine is complete mint in box. I paid a pretty penny and it's all worth it. I'm looking to pick up a Brave Maximus in the near future.

I had the Car Robots Maximus. I actually liked that one better than the rest. The darker blue and the yellow dashs on the tower really gave the illusion of a city at night. But I got hurt and couldn't work for a while. When I had to move to a smaller apartment, he started looking like a 2 foot tall dollar sign. When I lost all of my World's Smallest Transformers (even Hot Rod and Magnus!) in the move, I took it as a sign and we parted ways. I put him on eBay and he was won by a gentleman in Japan, ironically enough. I am planning to get another eventually but man it sucked having to give that up.

I have G1 Fortress Maximus, in mint condition. His box is a bit beat up, but still solid. He's been removed two or three times in the past 8 years for display, but has resided in his box for the past few years.

I got mine at Botcon 07. He is the centerpiece of my collection.

No I don't, I want one, but the prices are so.....painfull.

Glad to see a few do own him. He is the center piece of my collection as well. He should be the center piece of anyone's collection if they own him.

I'm also proud to say that I own a complete, and minus some sticker wear very good condition FortMax. I picked him up a year or two ago off eBay for about $550, which is damn good considering I saw other auctions going for around the $800 - 850 mark at the same time.

He's currently in a box with the rest of my G1 stuff, but damn is he pretty in there.

I have my original G1 that I bought in 89.

I only gotsta Brave Maximus.

I don't have one, but as I really want one and even my cousin said that if I ever have the chance to buy one, I have to play with it cos it's that amazing.

Waiting on the reissue...

I don't have one yet, but I plan on getting one soon. I'm going to ride out the Encore line to see if he makes an appearance there. If not I pick one up off Ebay, might even go with Brave Max.

I bought him earlier this year, missing most of the accessories but with the all important head. I've got a repro sword as well.

I haven't bought one and here's why.

I simply don't spend that much on one figure at a pop. By that much, I mean I'm not gonna spend over $500 one figure upfront.

I realize I could potentially buy one for a few hundred and build him up gradually but that bugger has a ton of parts. I made the mistake a couple years ago when I was collecting G.I. Joe more heavily to buy a Cobra Terrordrome that had a lot of parts but also needed some TLC. I never got it finished and finally end up getting so frustrated that I ended up junking the main part of the drome (the top part was a bit nmessed up and the stickers looked weak) and figured I'd just make more money selling off the parts.

4 years later, I have a bunch of Terror Drome parts hanging out in my spare room.

I'm not holding my breath on a reissue and might see instead if I can find a Brave Max at Botcon 09 (as long as Geekee1 isn't looking over my shoulder)

I want a Fort Max. I can't afford a G1 and I can't afford RID either. I'm going to start saving up after I get all the 25th anniversary stuff out of my system.

Brave is nice, possibly even superior in paint apps, but there's nothing like an original.

The advantage to getting my own hotel room is that I can hide Brave Max in the closet. If I was staying with you guys, somebody would probably end up sleeping on the box.

In all seriousness, I'd love to have a Fort Max someday but I'm looking for one in pristine condition (pristine as you know equals pricey)

I had a Brave Max and a Grand Max But I sold them both I got the Grand Max sealed in box for 500 dollars since the guy selling it had no idea what it was I sold it for 1500 on Ebay since I needed the money

I own the G1 Japanese FM 99% complete, missing simply the small sword for 'Cerebros'/Maximus.

I also own two of the RID Korean versions. Lesser because of lack of accessories, but great for displays.

Is it even possible that we may get a Fortress Maximus remake?? And Possibly even a Scorponok (Sp?)??

That would make my day. Even if they colored them slightly different to differentiante them from the orignals. But not too different, we don't want horrible colors like the Gen 2 stuff. Some of those bots made my eyes bleed.

It's really hard to say. They've been putting cool stuff out there that we never thought we'd see or at least see reissued. It really is a great time to be a TF collector.
