Should I keep the TF boxes I have in storage?

I'm sure this topic has been discussed in the past, but I found the search feature somewhat unhelpful. I open everything and for the most part I don't keep the boxes/cards, but I have kept some over the years. As we all know storing all those old boxes can be quite space consuming. I'm really considering getting rid of quite a few of these. These are the types of boxes I have kept: MP, Imports, TRU reissues, Encore, and some exclusives. I also have the boxes for the TFCC figures, but those are staying for sure. I doubt I will ever sell my collection, but one never knows what the future will hold. Please give me some opinions. Thanks!

keep 'em if you have the room to. you never know if you'll want them later on. i keep mine just in case i want/need to use them later. whether that means selling them, packing them, whatever. bottom line-if you are able to keep them, then why not?

I'm someone who knows that they won't be selling their TFs anytime soon. I usually keep the cards, cut out any useful pictures, and that's really about it. Keeping boxes just takes up way too much space!

I usually throw the innards away, keep the booklets, and break down, flatten and keep the boxes in a larger box.

Unless they are G1, or Encore, or for some reason, have something extra special about them, I don't keep them intact.

I'll trade boxes for toys any day.

The only boxes worth keeping are those with awesome box art, or of G1 nature. Every other, I would say no, save the room for toys.

Cybertron Leobreaker is worth $80 loose if he has the box. I think I'll keep mine. I also have an entire file system full of cardbackers and a 3 ring binder of instruction manuals.

I've started keeping Voyager and Ultra boxes. They look nice lined up on the top of the bookshelves, especially if you have a set like the new Universe Voyagers, with the character pictured on the end of the box. But when I run out of space I'll probably start tossing them.

With Deluxes and smaller, I cut off the bubble and save the card and instructions only.

If you opened them carefully, I say either keep them or sell them, but don't throw away them. There are people out there who want to get their figures to full sets, and it is easy to get loose figures, getting boxes to them is a pain in the ... Surely they won't go for very much, but you helped a fellow collector. B-)

I keep most of my boxes, especially TFCC or Classics if they have the profiles on them. However if there's a bunch of Japanese that I don't understand and few interesting pictures like on the Henkei or Encore boxes, I throw them away.

Anything G1 or reissue related I keep all of the packaging...hell, half of what makes the TFC/encore series so awesome is the packaging.
