A new auction on eBay has been discovered containing a rare piece of Transformers history. Seen here sold by senuseret72 is Twin Twist coming out of a pretendershell. The Seller senuseret72 list the item as having been part of a proposal for having Twin Twist in the pretender line up.

I reported this to Seiberton last month. I posted it here in the toy section on Sept 30th, and we all talked about it here:

It was submitted to the news department, and no one seemed to care.

For those who saw and reported this last month: wasn't Seibertron down due to Hurricane Ike shortly after this time last month? Might be why some failed to see this without checking out other TF websites.. which I keep forgetting there are.. hehe..

Top Spin would have also been in the Pretender line then by default.

Obviously, the guy could find no private buyer.

You are right, that it was submitted a month ago. The news team looked into it, and we don't think it is actually a legit art piece because it looks like a combination of two pieces of existing artwork - G1 Twintwist and one of the existing Pretender shells, which I don't know the name of - (possibly Cloudraker?)

The Seller has made a few claims though there is nothing to substantiate it at this time.

mmm i had a look on TFU.info at their pretender shells... couldnt see anything similar.. so im not sure.. that and i dont know much about pretenders.. other than the theme from the old adverts sticks in my head like nobodys business..

poor topspin and twintwist...destined to remain the ebay limo of unwanted junk lots..

I'm not sure which shell you mean, he's the colors of Waverider, but it's not his art. Additionally this is the ebay seller who has sold literally hundreds of prototypes and art prints from Hasbro, some of which have been reported on this site before. Seems worth mentioning - and I guess it was, as it got reported - the second time someone mentioned it.
