I've been slowly pecking away at getting my Pretenders collection to a point where I can do all of them at one time, which many of you may have noticed is a common theme with my galleries. With the recent arrival of glasses for Lander (Landmine), my recent purchase of the 4 Classic Pretenders MIB stickers unapplied, the recent arrival of unused sticker sheets for Bugly, Finback and Iguanus, and my purchase of all of the Masterforce Pretenders MIB over the past 6 months ... I will at last be able to present you guys with galleries of one of my most beloved subgroups. I don't know why ... but the Pretenders are some of my favorite concepts and characters (thanks Simon!). I can't wait to finally do the Pretender galleries for you guys.

Before someone asks, no I do not own Blue Bacchus or Black Shadow yet. While they're definitely Pretenders in my book, they were not requirements in order for me to bring you galleries of the American released Pretenders.

One of the pretenders (grey batlike creature shell and a blue and grey Decepticon that turned into a ship) was the last Transformer I got as a kid before a long period when I picked up TFs again as an adult.

Really looking forward to these galleries.

This just gave me an idea, and forgive me if it's been explained back ages ago. Is the Japanese "Lander" character's similarity in transformation to "Autolander" from Cybertron intended? Or just a coincidence?

Could you please do some comparison pics of the Decepticon Pretenders with Piranacon? They look simply amazing when they're together - the colours complement each other nicely.

Damn, too bad I was never able to get Finback. He's so frikkin' rare...

Does this mean we're going to see some care for Submarauder? I hope so.

Submarauder rules! All of the Decepticon Pretenders were cool, because they were neat monsters or whatever. The Autobot ones were just people... lame!

I've been wanting to see how they look too. It will definitely give him a unique look.

Pretenders have always been a really cool line with a concept that really seperates itself from anything else that Transformers did.

I'm a little more familiar with the Marvel comics version than anything else so maybe I missed out on some of the story. I always used to scratch my head as to why some of the Decepticons disguised themselves as monsters. Does that make you want to not try to run away from them more because they don't look like Decepticons? Of course the Autobots also made a couple of unusual decisions as well. Nothing strange about a man with 2 heads (Doubleheader) or a walrus man (Longtooth).

Speaking of the galleries, I just noticed that BW Tarantulas and 10th Annviersary Tarantulas are switched.

The original is in the reissue section and the reissue is in the original section.
