On one hand, the colors look good.

On the other, A) I own Masterpiece Megatron, so the colors are covered, and B) I can get this mold WITH Optimus Prime at any number of dollar store outlets for the cost Hasbro wants for this version.

I'm just not feeling this line with any enthusiasm. Maybe it's just because they're a pricier online exclusive.

He looked better in green.

I have Overkill and Dragstrip coming, but I don't know that I am enough of a completionist to buy this or Prime. I just can't stand these two molds and don't need another Megs or Prime in my Classics set.

Exactly what I was thinking :D

Unfortunately, this is a crappy Megatron mold.

You want to give us a good Universe Megatron, Hasbro? Do a 'classic' color scheme on one of the G1 tanks. :p

I ordered Overkill and Dragstrip, but passed on this guy and OP. I already have the original version of Megs from the two pack, I prefer the G2 inspired colors. I gave the OP away to a coworkers kid he was so brutal.

Even though these images probably have been photoshopped - the grey megatron is much better looking than the green one released a year ago.

I want a Megatron that transforms into a reallistic gun. No more tanks, cybertronian ships, nerf guns or helicopters. Megatron is a BFG, and if they want to do a proper Universe version, it better be a BIG FRIGGIN GUN FFS.

Can't get into this mold at all.
I mean, there's "things" I like about it, but overall it's just screaming with forced play features to the point of no longer looking cool.

Personally I prefer a tank megatron, but I really dislike this mold.

Lipstick on a pig IMO.

I did a repaint of the smaller G2 Megs into G1 colors, and he stands proudly with my Classics.

QFT. You can put pretty colors on a crappy mold...

Please tell me that the Op/Megs pair here aren't going to become the next iteration of Armada Sideswipe (the mold that would not die)!

Watch it bro! You almost said Sideswipe, repaint, and Optimus Prime in the same sentence!

He looks fantastic. But I'm all to familiar with this mold and have thankfully rid myself of it while making a profit no less. As far as the figure, he's never looked better, but this can be chalked up to a PASS for me.

How do you think Hasbro could make and sell an realistic gun when there’s already LAWS against that?

Exactly, a neon colored nerf gun is the absolute best that Hasbro can do. There are laws saying guns cannot look realistic and HAVE to have orange tips as well as the colors purple and/or green. I think that's the gist of the "law".

Anyway, if you want a realistic gun Megatron, go buy the G1 or Masterpiece figures. Either that or pray that there's an exclusive Takara gun Megatron aside from the Henkei one (which is highly unlikely to happen).

Six syllables? First one 'Mas', last one 'tron'?
