the
cybergundam blog has promo images of a new product from
CM's corp's Brave Gokin Mugen Calibur figure. Many will remember that this is the original name of what we know as the G1 deluxe Autobot
Roadbuster. Theis guy is much sort after and almost impossible to find complete so now you soon have the chance of buying a new articulated version of him and yes it's got Diecast.

Head over to the
blog to see all images and read the original thread if you can.
stay tunned to seibertron.com for all your Transformers related news.

Nice find! That looks really good too, if it’s not too expensive I’ll look into it when it’s released.

I really want that toy!
I wouldn't expect G1 colors, though. That would too easy.
But, as a G1 purist Roadbuster has never been on my radar. Same with Jetfire. If it wasn't an original Takara/Diaclone product and wasn't officially featured in the cartoon I don't care.
Plus, the new 1/60 version 2.0 Yamato Macross line put The old Bandai Jetfire (and all other Macross lines, including the 1/48 line) to shame.
I'd rather buy these reissues than pay even more for complete versions of the same toy with Transformer stickers.

Guys, the blog says it's 23.800 Yen. When you add shipping, it's going to be about 300 US Dollars!!
You're probably better of buying the original on E-bay, or this modelkit, which also looks good:
http://www.hlj.com/product/AOS04262Besides, you have to paint it yourself, so you can choose the correct Roadbuster colors.

Now Hasbro needs to go license the mold for the 25th anniversary line, and sell it in the HTS in G Roadbuster colors for maybe $20 or $25.

CM's Corp stuff is notoriously expensive, but worth it, from all accounts I've ever heard. And, there's a reason why they're very expensive, well, several reasons. CM's Corp doesn't produce huge amounts of product and the "toys" they do produce are very high quality, and often rather delicate.
Hasbro's not going to liscence it, and there will not be a japanese produced "G1 Colours" version. It'll only come in the original Dorvack colours (as shown).
Also, knock-offs of CM's Corp product have never, to my knowledge, happened since they produce everything within Japan, to my knowledge, so no Chinese folk swiping molds etc.

Ooh! Ahh! I like it. As one of the few who has the original 110% complete (although antennae is not in the best of shapes) getting a shiny new one w/ articulation is appealing. It'll save on the stress caused from transforming the original. The new one even has features the old one doesn't:
Outer armor- ugly, I wouldn't use it
Double barreled gun- attractive but not Roadbuster
Jetpack used as tripod cover- nice, too bad original doesn't do that
Articulation- this has to be the winning feature! I'd get this just for the articulation (and the preservation of my original).
I got a set of Reprolabel decals just waiting for application.

ANd, you are aware it'll run you a good 300$ right? (23,000yen plus shipping from Japan etc.)

That looks very cool!

Nice to see this guy getting some more exposure. Those designs were all really good. I wish the show become more accessible as well.

Very cool. I really love my G1 Roadbuster, which I got 20 years ago. The level of detail for a figure this old is very cool.

Speaking of this, the Macross Valkyrie VF-1S original figure was recently re-released in Japan for a far more reasonable price. Admittedly the red parts are yellow and it doesn't come with the armour but that's surely still a must-buy for Jetfire fans.

The robot is really nice. But i'm not liking the jeep mode. It's too sci-fi alien wars style. I mean, not resembling any earth jeeps. Not even military jeeps.
