Just preordered Prime since I can't seem to touch the current Prime reissues for under $100.

I have TFC Megatron, Pre-TFC Starscream, New Years Optimus, and the recent Hasbro Commemorative Soundwave but I figured I would regret it if I didn't get the set so I pre-ordered them all. I'm especially looking forward to Soundwave who still appears to be single tape chest Soundwave. I hope that if this reissue series does well, more will follow.

I hope so too. I'm still needing Hound, Powermaster Optimus Prime, Optimus Prime, Blitzwing, and the minibots to finish my MISB reissue collection.

Yeah, I'm not sure how I feel about the double deck Soundwave. I don't heve the TRU version, but I don't know if I'd get him even if I did see him. Who am I kidding, I'd probably pick him up if he was in my hands.

Plus there were many other figures that didn't even get a reissue yet. Maybe they now have hopes of seeing the light of day.

Yeah let's hope so. I'm REALLY looking forward to a Cyclonus reissue since I didn't get him as a kid.

Definitely a character and mold that I think should be more prominent. We see all kinds of seekers here and there. Rerelease, re-imagine, but we only have 1 version of G1 Cyclonus. He was one of my more favorite characters post TF:The Movie.

I'm considering getting this set, since I've got TFC versions of prime and megatron, CS screamer and classics reissue soundwave

I also hope more follow. I like how they are called "the first lineup/ and the first series" meaning that hopefully there will be a series 2? I also wonder what extra's will be included to try and intice people that already own reissues/originals of these characters to buy the encore series.

Hey, those prices aren't half bad! I may update my current ailing Soundwave yet!

Considering that buying this whole set is much cheaper than buying TFC-00 or any version of Optimus seemed like a no brainer to me. Soundwave (single tape chest version) is another that costs more than the complete set as well. You can usually find Megatron or Starscream at an okay price, but nothing this cheap. I went ahead and bought them because I know I'll regret not buying the set later on.

I noticed lately that TFSource has been undercutting BBTS's prices. I've been really impressed by the level of customer service that has been provided, and Curt will usually tries to answer any questions I have the same day or next. The other thing I noticed is that they have some interesting articles and things on their site. I also discovered on the links page the other day that Seibertron.com is one of the sites they recommend to their customers for news and info.

I wouldn't say TFSource is undercutting anyone. BBTS prices are pretty inflated. I highly reccommend both stores. Joel at BBTS will take care of any problem you've got with your order and TFSource has thse AWESOME wrapping jobs and packaging.

On topic, I think I'm gonna get the Convoy. I've always wanted a boxed one. My New Year Convoy is displayed in one of my cases. I do hope they get more characters done soon too. We need cassettes and Dinobots dammit!

I've got a set ordered from bbts. The prices are very similar.

I was under the impression that BBTS's higher prices are related to their reliability.

I do believe Megatron will have to be modded to be sold in the US

Almost certainly.

Why is that? TFSource has TFC #6 Megatron and that doesn't look like it is modded.

tfsource probably won't carry the modified version, but bbts and digital toys probably will.. they just haven't posted that their versions will be modified b/c nobody has specifics on these reissues and they are also unsure what the "mold changes" will be.. in short, if you want an unmodified encore reissue megs, tfsource is probably your best bet.. i preordered at bbts because they dont charge for preorders, but if it is modified, I will probably go with tfsource as well.. we will hopefully get more info soon...

I pre-ordered Megatron on Hobby Link Japan. He is only $46 over there as of right now. I'm debating whether or not I should get Prime...This is a perfect time to grab him before his price sky rockets.
