I love my cat, but i was pretty pissed for a hour or so, as my cat leveled an entire shelf of my transformers!! I was lucky though as none were broken, or damaged in any way. They only fell about 9 or 10 inches, but i was a little pissed for awhile. Anyone else have any pet stories to share that involve your transformers?

I've got a 3 month old German Shepherd puppy wuppy, and she HATES Cybertron Scourge. My fault, I guess, as she was sniffing the toy I activatd the Cyber key power and the hydra heads bopped her on the nose. Not to mention the 'dragon roar' electronic function, which left her barking and whining for half an hour. PUPPY VS SCOURGE, BOOK IT!

My bottom shelves (floor level) are robot free as I have a rabbit. Damn shame that I can't put anything there. Once, he jumped onto the lowest shelf where the Beast Wars live but the noise and retaliation from them scared him off and he hasn't tried since.

Oooh this brings back a bad memory.
I had just got a vintage G1 Sideswipe, not too expensive but a character that I had yearned for for some time. I set him up in robot mode on my desk, went into another room to put the kettle on, came back in to find that my cat had leaped onto the desk. 'Stay RIGHT there!' I hissed. She jumped off, taking Sideswipe with her. Smash. She got a VERY small portion of Whiskas for dinner that day, I can tell you.
As luck would have it, I managed to get a MISB commemorative reissue cheaply not long after...if only it had come along first...

Yeah this is usually not an issue for me because all my transformers are in a ( No Pets Allowed Room ), but someone forgot to close the door, and when i came back from fixing myself a snack i saw my bottom shelf of transformers all on the floor.

We have three rabbits and two kids, so everything in my house a foot from the floor is pretty much destroyed

awww.....pets and our TF collections. I have three different types of incidents that deals with my dog (Whippet/Blue Heeler mix) and my collection. Last summer, my dog decided that he wanted to redo the act from the 2007 movie...do I need to say anything more? Actually, he missed my Movie Ironhide but he was very close. He got smacked on the butt for it and yelled at.
In the Fall of last year, he hated the Ultimate Bumblebee and would flare up his hunches and hair and growl at it.
The last one is a reoccurring incident with him. Dogs can only see in black and white so he has taken an interest of any bots that are black and white, which would be my Jazz, Barricade, and of course, Prowl figures. But usually (8 times out of 10), it is my Prowl figures. He usually sniffs at them but a few times, he has knock them over, like shown below, the timing between the two pictures was a few microseconds. I do keep them high on a surface so that he does not break them but if I am playing with one, he would prop on my lap in order to look at it.

Have a two year old maine coon and from the time I got her she's always had a facination with my figures...
Unfortunately, I never imagined she'd want to gnaw on them. She got my classics Ultra Magnus, chewed his helmet up pretty good. Luckily, she missed his face entirely, plus with the city commander set it makes it easier to forget about. Just recently she got ahold of classics Galvatron by his cannon, put a couple nasty little cracks on the orange plastic near the muzzle.
Needless to say, pretty frustrating.

I had my plushie commissioned back in February and received it in May. It is hand-sewn and stands 11-12 inches tall and fully pose-able.

You found a custom plushie maker that will do mecha? Weird, I haven't found any. Lucky.

Does this thread ever bring back painful and tearful memories!
When my cat was little, he used to demand attention by attacking my TFs when I would decline his more civil requests. His favorite target was MP Megatron at that time, and the poor dude took a nasty tumble once (nothing broke, thank god!). I decided that it would work best if I put a whole bunch of figures in front of Megs, so when one fell, it would spook the kitten off any further path of destruction. Well, my idiocy figured it'd be a good idea to put my beloved (and rather decrepid) G1 Thundercracker directly in front of Megs. Well, Skeeter (my cat) went on another jealous rampage and poor ole TC took a tumble off the computer tower, and hit the printer below and exploded! I ran into the room and witnessed the carnage and just burst into tears! TC was originally my little brother's and he gave him to me when he moved out of state, so the sentimental value was VERY high. The poor guy was well-loved and was held together by nothing more than copious quantities of Super-Glue and a few dozen Hail Maries, so it was no shocker that he would shatter into a billion pieces upon contact with a MUCH harder, and much sturdier, plastic printer case.
Needless to say, I cried over the shattered mess of 24 yr old plastic shards for hours, and my cat got his very first hardcore trip to the proverbial woodshed! Since then, he hasn't so much as rubbed a whisker on ANY of my figures...and if one comes into his line of sight, he looks around for me and high-tails it outta there!
Since this event, I gave TC's pieces (sans the wings...they are mine and now reside in a shadow-box with a plaque accounting his heroic deed in the service of his commanding officer) to a fellow Seibs member, under strict orders to refurbish him and treat him with the utmost of love and respect as long as he holds together!
Toy collections and young animal-friends...sometimes a messy and nerve-frazzling part of life! I love my toys. I love my cat. Never the 'twain should meet, or disaster is sure to ensue!

The moral of this thread seems to be that TF collectors shouldn't own cats, or cat owners shouldn't collect TFs.
I hope I never have kids either...

Wow... I knew I had a weird cat, but not this weird. My Shinju doesn't give a flying fig about my figures, and I have no problems keeping them in the same room she spends most of her time in - which happens to be my office. She doesn't bother them at all!
Well...
...except for any loose Cyber-planet keys or guns left near a bottom shelf...

Ah yes. Cats. Natures Terrorists.
My house mate in college brought home this adorable little mutant cat that had 6 digits on each paw ( he could hold a beer bottle by the neck after about 6 months or so ) and he decided to name him Aladdin. I told him he was super gay for naming a small orange cat after a Disney movie and decided I would pull rank and renamed the little blessing HOTROD. Why Hotrod you ask, well every step I took he was right there pulling off his best Indiana Jones impression by narrowly dodging my feet as they hit the ground.
So naturally I would scream out "Out of the way Hotrod". Brilliant if I do say so myself. How else would I get to say it out loud with a room full of college tail without sounding like a complete retard?
One day, I believe it was a Tuesday... I came home from my PoliSci class and as I climbed my staircase up into my loft I see little Hotrod perched on one of my shelves waiting to literally pounce on what was left of my RM Starscream, Classics BB and Japanese Vector Prime.
Now because cruelty to animals makes me wretch, I only gave him the worst squirt bottling of his very short life. Now for the death toll... well none really. The top half of BBs Wave Crusher went for a trip down a heat vent and was never seen again, RM Screamer broke off part of his tail fin and VP was fine. Not a scratch on his perfect frame.
I got my house mate to buy me a new RM Starscream and I returned the Classics BB for another so I got a new complete BB.
Last I heard of my old house mate he had the cat taken away for mistreating the animal. He would never change the cat liter because he thought he could "train" the cat to get use to it. I hope someone makes him walk for weeks in his own poop some day.

Just realized that I to have a pet vs. transformers story. I have a Boston Terrier named Zeke. Every Christmass my in-laws insist on buying presents for Zeke. I normally don't let him play with toys in the house, but since he had just got a load of stuff I figured I would make an exception. I let him have a one of those tug toys made of rope with a stuffed snowman on one end. I was sitting at my computer desk holding one end letting him pull on the other end and occasionally tossing it down the hall. After a toss down the hall he came back into my computer room, also my TF room, with toy in mouth and started shaking it back and forth the way dogs often do when they play. He let go of the toy in mid shake which sent it flying right into the self that contains my Classics Decpticons including my Games of Deception figures. Luckily none of them sustained any damage, but ever since then the no dog toys in the house has been in full effect.

Oh yeah! I have an adorable boxer puppy that I love to death, but he has a knack for destroying the most irreplaceable items of mine (he never touches my wife's stuff though?).
He once tore apart mint boxes for G1 Jetfire and Anime Galvatron (just the boxes thankfully) that I had on my desk. Not to mention my passport too...
My collection is normally kept in a room that is completely forbidden to the pets.
