ok found a little info, It is being done by NATO, the man who brought us the fantastic animated prime ax. Its currently only in the computer design stage. Its going to be a helmet to create an accurate head since the molds head is pinned on. It will also contain additional parts to G1ize him a bit. hopefully he will find a way to put up some images..

I hope this happens!
Although I think the Evac mold makes more sense for Springer, I think the Red Alert mold head works better for him (as in the Botcon version) rather than Roadbuster.

An upgrade kit...
I cant resist these third party things, Now I'm gonna be forced to buy the Comic 2-pack. I just hope that it winds up as good as that axe he made for Animated Prime.

There's a custom Prime axe? I had no idea. A pic please?

I'm calling him Shattered Glass Thundercracker. If you don't have a Shttered Glass set, maybe you should sell him on ebay?

I didn't think of putting him with my shattered glass collection. Thanks for the suggestion, SG Thundercracker it is!

Preordered!!! It's stuff like this that keeps me active in collecting TFs and in this community. I can't wait to have a real RB to add to my collection.

Pre-ordered the RB upgrade and the Ax. Amazing what a few extra details can do for a figure. Clever the way they've attached the new face plate.

I was gonna say, "Ugh, not another upgrade." But I'm gonna get this. That Hot Shot/Roadbuster mold is badass and this set actually looks really cool. That Ani-Prime ax kinda looks good too...
