We reported here that one of the prizes for the Transform Your Summer Pepsi Transformers Movie promotion is a "Pepsi Optimus Prime TRANSFORMERS Collectible". Not much was known about Pepsi Optimus Prime. Now DESTRO of TFW2005 has posted the bio for the figure. Here it is:
"TRANSFORMERS Pepsi OPTIMUS PRIME
It is of paramount importance to OPTIMUS PRIME that his mission and the presence of the AUTOBOTS on Earth remain a secret. Part of maintaining that secret is changing his disguise from time to time, though never so drastically that he has to get used to a whole new vehicle mode. This new disguise helps keep him incognito, hiding his presence from the DECEPTICONS and allowing him to plan their defeat without interruption. As an added bonus, this disguise, like some of his past ones, lets him hook up his fellow AUTOBOTS with some free Earth delicacies they rarely get to enjoy
Pepsi OPTIMUS PRIME is a G1-styled figure with prominent Pepsi deco featured on the cab and open-bed trailer."

I'm very happy with my Pepsi Convoy that I ordered the first time around... If I can get this guy, He'll be kept nice and minty-"in the box"-fresh...
Pretty cool though, didn't know if we'd be seeing him released over here... and if I have to ramp up my Pepsi intake for a little while, then so be it! My future diabetes thanks you Pepsi-Cola!

I'll buy it, open it carefully and replace the pepsi with that of a diet pepsi.. cause I'm always on one, and prefer the taste of diet pepsi to any regular soda..LOL, yeah right like i'd open a Mint Optimus prime Pepsi version...

Crap! I already have the Japanese reissue!
The only difference I could see is having regular Pepsi, instead of that Pepsi Twist bottle. Maybe Mountain Dew? That would be cool.

A Moutain Dew Megatron now i'd buy that. Or a Lipton's Ice Tea Soundwave.

I really don't know what to think...I love the original Prime, but more as a childhood memory - having been spoiled by the newer versions, I really wouldn't want the original today - even if it is an 'exclusive'
