Even now the last movie line sells faster than the Universe line...and the stores around here can't even keep the Animated line in stock. Hasbro is going to put development into the lines that make money so I don't expect the Universe line to return...as depressing as that may sound to all of us.

Absolute opposite here. With the exception of the Voyager repaints, the Universe transformers have been vanishing off the shelves. Animated move at a 'normal' pace, and the Movie line are the shelf warmers.

Very interesting...then again, the city I live in (good ol Rockford IL) may be the MOST conservative town in the Midwest (with pop over 100,000). The town wants to be a big city while the people want it to be a small town. It's generally the last place to get the new figs, and is just backwards in general. If the line is doing well, I am extremely happy. But I'm also not one to really put down other lines...I truly love the entire toy franchise and see the positives in most every new mold (I'm sick of repaints like everyone else) and new line. The Universe is a great remake of the G1 line, Animated is a refreshing new angle on our old favorites, and the movie line was different and exciting (when it was still new ages ago). If the Universe line is doing well elsewhere, then that makes up for the fact that they are peg warmers here. And that's a good thing.
