Yizhi521 of TF08.net has once again posted some new images of an upcoming Transformer figure, this time of the upcoming Legends-class Jetfire figure for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, the sequel to the blockbuster Transformers movie, due out in theatres June 26th 2009.

The images give us a clear look at the fully-painted figure in both modes, with our first good look at Jetfire's face.

i think its pretty cool... certainly different.. i can imagine at full size he'll be quite menacing

...still, im very curious about the whole tab/slot on him and legends Optimus..

I really hope that the movie versions and the larger toy versions look better than this. His face definitely looks evil. I can hardly imagine him becoming an Autobot ever. Who knows?

So, Laserbeak is a bird-headed hunchback? Then again, I guess it does sorta look like a Chozo statue...

Still looks like a Mini-con. Crap-py. Why can't they make the Movie Legends as good as the new Universe Legends? Is it just that the Movie designs don't lend themselves well to the small scale of Legends?

hmmm, I dread to think what the deluxe version of this toy will look like. Movie Jetfire needs a kneck.

I hope that his larger toy a) will look a whole lot cooler, and b) if he looks that menacing in Robot Mode, he should have a second Autobot Robot Mode for when he joins them (that is, if he does join them).

Kinda like Punch/Counterpunch, Doubledeader, (Double)Clouder, and Shockwave/Longarm (Prime) with having two Robot Modes.

I agree with the alt autobot mode concept there. That would be cool . That would also get rid of this strange looking thing called Jetfire too. He is quite similar to the movie Starscream in a lot of ways too.

He looks like the Terrorcon Blot in anorexic mode- a well hung one at that!

Jetfire is one of my favorite characters. I have no idea who that is, but it's not Jetfire. At least in legends. All i can say for now is, what the ...?

It may be a little too early to comment on this but I really honestly do not like what i see.

Is it just me or does he look like a black version of the crested dinosaur from Jurassic Park? Maybe he spits poison too.

Looking this mean, I don't know how he'd be converted to the Autobot cause.

I sure hope the bigger version of him looks better.

I think the character design looks awesome! Like some hulking, menacing, war machine.

Hmmm...very original idea. My first thought is that this is almost an homage to Robotech- the bot mode is almost like a "gerwalk" mode. I like it! Very original, pretty detailed for a legend fig in alt mode. I know people are angry because "OMG it doesn't look like G1 Jetfire!" but that's ok. I look forward to some larger molds with more bot detailing. This has got to be a Voyager or Ultra fig...

It will... take some getting used to. I've given up trying to expect respect of what's coming before from the new movies and just enjoy it for being a new take on Transformers. The alien designs have grown on me, and I never thought that would happen. Even STARSCREAM I like now.

We can't really gauge what Jetfire will truly look like in the movie based on a Legends-class figure, but I'm intrigued by the seeming homage to the Robotech gerwalk mode.

Legend class figures are a poor way to judge what a movie character will look like in a larger size, but they do give a general idea of the designs.

IMO Jetfire look very decepticon like with the trademark red eyes and a menacing hunchback body.

Maybe its a disquise,but It reminds me of Dinobot for some reason.

When Dinobot joined the maximals he was basically the same, still ruthless, but with a code of honor and respect that had to grow over time.

This time maybe Jetfire is a natural decepticon, and not a peaceful autobot that happpend to be with starscream like the show.

this makes him joining the Autobots more interesting, becasue he sould still be deception, but with a respect for Prime.

The Go-Bot Snoop was an SR71 Blackbird. It actually had a cooler robot mode.

The Go-Bot Vamp's robot form even looks similar to this one's.

Fuuuuuuuu-gly! If the full sized toy looks anything like this, I'm not buying it...needless to say, I'm not buying a black Jetfire anyway. G1 repaint only, and only if it's way less ugly than Movie Starscream.
