Value for money? I don't think so.

I've watched a few TFA episodes and while I don't think it's the greatest TF series I shall certainly be watching the rest. As I found myself with an abundance of gift vouchers I decided to buy some of the main characters:
Leader Megatron
Leader Bulkhead
Voyager Prime
Voyager Starscream
To start with Megs frustrated me cos he's slightly knocked-kneed which detracts from the menacing look somewhat. Also, thanks to the ratchets in his legs he can't stand up straight very well - he either leans forward or topples backwards. With his curved thighs it's very hard to find a good pose for his legs.
Then I started looking at other figures that cost around £40 and I really started to feel cheated. When I compared the poseability of Movie Leader Prime (individual finger articulation, ankle articulation and even toe articulation) combined with his perfectly proportioned limbs and fascinatinly complex transformation Megatron really seems a bit lame, even though I enjoy his transformation and know that complexity isn't the be-all-and-end-all. As for Bulkhead, who is pathetically short and very unposeable and can't even look sideways... oh dear.
Next I put my Movie Leaders, Universe Ultras and TFA Leader Class together. Megatron is really the same size as an Ultra but costs £15 more! And what of Bulkhead? His head is level with Powerglide's shoulder! What does the extra £15 get? Oh yeah, a few extra sounds that wouldn't have amused me for more than a few minutes when I was eight.
I'm relatively happy with Megatron and Prime, but only because I didn't actually part with a penny thanks to those vouchers. I'm not sure about Starcream, maybe he'll grow on me.
Even though I had vouchers and Bulkhead was on sale at £30 I still feel ripped off and I shall take him back to the shop for a refund tomorrow.
I know most of you think these guys are great but I shall be sticking to other lines in future - but at least my wallet is happier for this experience!
