The controller has a Go Go Go-Bot type look to it to me a little bit, but it's still pretty cool looking. The controller mode is excellent, and a 3rd party PS2 pad was a pretty good choice.
The watch is very cool as well.
How much are these guys gonna retail for? Cause I love 'em all

Cool TF watches return. I used to have a pair of TF watches back in the 80's A Red Autobot one and a blue Decepticon. They were really cheesy transformations, just pull out legs and arms, pop up head. but they were really cool. Can't really say if they were actually licensed Hasbro products, or just some knockoff with an autobot and decepticon logo plastered on. but i loved them.
I'm sure to get one of these.
The controller, not so much. Reminds me of transmetals Optimus Primal.

The watch is sweet... although they screwed up in one of two ways.
The time should have been either 7:47 or 7:04:07, if it's a locked-in time... or it should have been an actual working LCD watch. The core body looks like it's solid enough to accomodate a functional clock - perhaps this prototype/test shot just has a printed plug as a demo, instead of real electronics.

Agreed 100%. I was really hoping this was a working watch. I highly doubt they will make a working one, but why the hell not? Any way the bot modes seems pretty solid for the watch and the controller.

My thoughts exactly! I really like that watch TF! Too bad it doesn't actually work! Not that I'd wear it, but it would make a nice desk clock!

that real gear controller reminds me like of an undetailed version of optimus primal for some reason

If these actually worked, which would not be difficult to do, I'd grab them in a heartbeat. If they don't, they're just clutter.

I was hoping the watch actually worked, but evidently it doesn't - the time is the same in every one of those pictures.
Edit: The controller will definately be a must-have for me though. His bot mode just seems so cool, and the ridiculously pointless alternate mode just makes him a great candidate for random trinket #1,023 in my home.
I'll set him up with G1 Soundwave and Perceptor.

Shame the watch doesn't work. Controllerbot looks like a gorilla.

I like the watch.
The controller not so much. If they would have given hin actual hands, that is, made it so they were a more traditional "fist" that would pop out instead of just the ends of the controller turned over, I would be more interested.

Like these guys a whole lot more than the two movie figures I have seen today.
The simplistic designs that lack all the "dangerous and alien spiky bits" of the actual movie figures works in their favour.

I can see it. He does appear to be a little ape-like in his appearance and the head does resemble Apeface from a distance.

I had those watches also...i believe they were actual licensed products...but then again i was a kid, i wouldnt have known.
If the final product does have a functional display i will definately buy it. i need a new watch with a seconds display for work and i can just see this guy cruisin' around the hospital on my cart

I love the look of the controller one. Very nice!
The watch looks good but of course it would be better if it worked.
Maybe it wouldn't be too hard to kitbash the internals of a real watch into it though...

The controller reminds me of Robosapien. I like them both though.
