For me, it's a pass, as I don't like the robot mode, but I can't find him anywhere anyway. I've never actually held him, either.

Well, I have him and he looks very bumpy in dino mode. Not the smooth plates as in anime. Also, dino mode has red eyes.. Still looks decent with the other Classics.

IMO, robot mode is weak. I really dislike the feet, as the form out of the dino head splitting.

However I do have him. If you don't have a G1 and can't spring for one right now, then I'd say go for it. Or ofcourse, if you see him on the cheap. Definately not something I would go out of my way to procure.

He looks like a poor excuse for a Zoid in alt mode and his robot mode doesn't look particularly good - I'd pass. However I've never had the figure in my hands so ultimately up to you.

While he isn't the best of the classics I would say he's worth getting even only to have all the classics.

Agreed on the Zoid comment, I find the robot mode ok. I do have him, and he's pretty ok, but I wouldn't go to great lengths to obtain him, really. Never really cared for Grimlock character wise, never had the G1, but I enjoy Classics Grim at a stable level, whereas I went crazy for Classics Astrotrain initially but now only like his robot mode.

Sheesh, lot of negative press. I love Grimlock personally, and he's one of my favorite figures. If you've never had an original Grimlock(or the Actionmaster, which is all I had), and you like Dinosaur transformers or the character, I highly recommend Grimlock.

Classic Grimlock

He's different! But he's worth investing in and makes a good addition to the rest of the classics. All I want is for Hasbro to release the rest of the classic dinobots,so we can have the complete set of them! Wishful thinking I know!

It's not all negative. I like him, but he's not the best. Never had any Grimlock to compare him to--except the Pretender version, which even as a kid I didn't really like---and am not a big fan of his character. But all those are personal things. I actually do like the Classics toy by itself.

Before I wasn't too keen about him but after I got him he isn't that bad. Atleast he's better than classics Astrotrain.

I had no idea that Classics Grimlock was so unloved. I guess that is why they are starting the Me Grimlock promotion.

The Classics Dino mode looks pretty good. I prefer it over his bot mode. I feel that both modes are a bit unstable but overall not a bad figure for the $10. He might even be cheaper at some of the stores that have the Classics on clearance... hey they've got to put those overstocked Spider-Man 3 toys somewhere.

I have him and like him. His dino mode is nice but his robot mode is ok.
I keep him in dino mode.

i like him. is dino mode is the best copared to his robot mode... i just want the rest of the dinobots made now. i never had all of the original set, i did have a G2 reissiue of grimlock though. i remmeber my cousin who is older then be back when we were kids he had the G1 grimlock and i remember it being part metal and it was heavy.
