Nice but... uh, well, the "mystery army vehicle" is the previously reported original concept version repaint of the TF1 movie Wreckage.

a repainted Energon Superion replacing Slingshot with Airazor and marketed as a ROTF toy... why does Hasbro have to fail so badly?

Is there a difference between the Universe and ROTF versions of Superion?

Ah...the customary blurry pictures in vehicle mode. Not getting Superion...got enough of him. Wreckage, is a maybe...depends on the paint job.

Alternity is freaking awesome.

If by Universe you mean the Energon version of the mold, then the only difference is paint apps I think..

Im definatley picking this up if and when I see it.. I missed out on it completely last time round.

Isn't that just the 25th anniversary superion they released a couple of months ago in new packaging? Have they even bothered with a repaint?

No, I meant the one they released a few months ago. I paint scheme looks kinda similar, but I don't know it's it's 100% identical.

I'm gonna take a shot in the dark and guess Hasbro is doing this because although their won't be a -true- Bot combiner (triplebot Arcee and Prime/Jetfire don't count) in the movie, they might want one toywise. Not a bad idea, I guess.

Why is one named Airrazor instead of the proper fifth Aerialbot? Is one of them going to be female? Or did they just not get Slingshot as a name now and had to pull it out of their aft for a name?

Superion is an easy pass for me. I just don't care for the design. That Wreckage is a must though. Especially with his apparent importance in the second movie.(just from what i've seen and read thus far.) As for Alternity Prime beautiful alt. mode and I like the robot mode too so I suppose i'll get it. It'll look good with Alternity Megatron stomping him.

Hopefully this means Superion will get a UK release.

Well for superion, i think i get him, i had the G1's but dont know where they are or if i still have them since, now i'm back into collecting again. Now, according the bio or history, wreckage was one of the first or second transformers that arrived on earth and i think sector seven discovered, then destroyed him with some massive ray gun or a EMP cannon. this would be really stupid if they brought wreckage back now, unless the decepticons stumble across his mangled carcass and reactivated him. anyway, thats my input.. 8)

The Superion is a repackage, from Universe to the Movie for two reasons:

1) The Universe line will be put on hold for the duration of the new movie line
2) It's a recent release, there's no sense in having a product out for only one month or so. Might as well repackage :P

Trademarks, my dear boy. They're to blame for all the naming msery these days. I'm guessing "Slingshot" is not available for Hasbro to use (for a long time now, actually) so they used "Airazor" instead, in the same vein as "Windrazor".

O, and he's still a Target exclusive, so nya :P

When I read movie superion I thought "movie" superion. Thank god its just the repaint. I wonder if Wreckage is actually going to be in the movie. I doubt it but that would be awesome.

Wow, A real Alternity product that isn't being used for promotional images or part of a toy show.

Does this mean that it will really be released soon?
