Preordered the figure only. I'll cancel if I manage to snag an 'early bird' between now and then, and I'll be keeping an eye out, but this puts the Botcon version to shame and was a must have for me the moment I saw it.

This looks really good. I decided to preorder. Still not 100% sure I want to spend $90 on it. But if it's anything like the clear Binaltech Mirage, I'll probably be happy I did it.

Anyone know what the actual retail price on this is for people who live in Japan? And if there is a website for residents over there to order the package from? Thanks in advance.

I really like the cover on that book. Its a pity that I don't read Japanese however, Otherwise I would gladly buy it.

The clear Ligier looks nice also.

It's the same kind of deal as the green (Movie colours) version of Encore Ratchet from the other year. The book will be available in Japan and will have a coupon for the figure included. Japanese residents buying the book can send off the coupon and whatever the extra cost of the figure is and get the toy. If you don't live in Japan your options for getting it are to have a friend in Japan get it for you, pay a proxy buyer in Japan to get it for you, order one from an online retailer for a mark up, get a loose one from ebay that's been 'liberated' from a factory or score one on the after market somewhere down the line, and it's fair to assume that the price on this will sky rocket.

Damn, I was gonna use this as an excuse to have a buddy in Japan get me Thrust, Dirge, and this, but I am not going to put a non transformers fan through the pain of finding the book, mailing in the coupon, waiting for them to mail it, and mailing it to me. All while figuring out all the totals for what I owe him for all the effort.

Preordered both the book and the figure, but I'm still not sure, maybe I will cancel the preorder. Mirage is a bit pricey for me.

I'm actually impressed with BBTS price. I pre-ordered two because he beat the pre-order quote from my normal 'buyer'.

I was surprised too. I was expecting about 120 from BBTS. I guess they don't want to risk the "Green Ratchet" fiasco that happened last time.

Is there anything in this book other than photos of the toys mentioned/shown on the cover? It seems kinda...lame...also, how many pages was the Generations Deluxe book that came out a while ago (the one with all the cool art in the back of concepts etc.)?

I am all over this.

However, if it's like the art book with the green G1 Ratchet it'll be 6000-ish yen for one and 10,000 for two. Not cheap.

The ordering information will be posted in the book. But since the book is not out yet, I don't know how BBTS can quote a price. My guess is that the actual price will around $40, like the other deluxe exclusives in the past.

The only way for Japanese residents to get this figure is by purchasing the book and mailing in the coupon.

When an exclusive is offered through a Japanese book, you need to cut out a coupon in the back of the book and mail it in with your money. Without the coupon you can't get the figure.

From the descriptions so far, I think this is going to be collection of pictures of all the Japanese Transformers that have come out in the past year + concept art + some cartoon art. The past books have been 130+ pages. I own a couple of the Japanese Transformers books. They're pretty cool.

I have Visual Works, and I love it to death, and I really want the Generations Deluxe from years ago (shame I couldnt get it then... prices on ebay are frightening), and I'm severely debating this book. I mean, I don't really care too much about the clear Ligier, though it is much better than the BotCon travesty, IMO, but I like concept art and such...but how much has really come out in the past year to make it worthwhile to buy for some photos and maybe some concept art etc.???
