Are they supposed to combine? Interesting. I gotta say your pics of Scorponok actually have me leaning towards buying him. Whats your opinion of him?

At first I didnt like him, but he looks way better in hand, he has caution and rescue marks on his body and his steel looks similiar to a military tank, I recommend buying him.

Supposedly they combine in they movie.

hmm. The dangling tail just doesn't work for me.

But still its kind of interesting to see them combined.

How exactly does it work? I'm guessing pegs in holes .

Yep pegs and holes match, blackout has a lever in alt mode that makes his helicopter blades spin, when combined with scorponok pushing the lever activated scorponoks claws while spinng blackouts blades.

Genius.

That's what I was thinking too when I first saw it. I just don't think the designs of the two match. It would have helped if scorponok had more of a vehicle look to it or if it could actually merge "more completely" with the helicopter (like sorta wrap around it and attach to more points around the helicopter as opposed to just the bottom). As it is now it just looks like a big insect-like alien got stuck to the bottom of a helicopter.

I think thats kinda the point, they aren't so much merging as Blackout is carrying him. Like he's cargo or a solider that needs to be air dropped into enemy territory.

hmmm since i can combine him and not face that terrible bot mode... i like

Huh. Usually I see Autobots or Decepticons of the same sub-team combine............but this is a new onw on me.............Scorponok & Blackout.........interesting.............

Well, in this case, there aren't any sub-teams, are there?

Looks fairly ordinary to me, and not a display friendly mode either.

If you didnt get Scorponok as a bonus with Blackout, then wouldnt get a figure of Scorponok at all.

That just looks mean.

A neat little feature, and with paint a detail Scoponok does not look that bad at all

I really wouldn't call that a combination. A nifty feature, yes, but not a selling point.

I still want to know - can minicons powerlink to those interfaces?

So there will be 2 scorponoks that can be used with Blackout. The small one that comes with him and the deluxe.
I like that scorponok a little better now.

On the matter at hand. I'm glad they added in that little feature.

man they really should have given scorponok a better bot mode, cause his alt mode is awesome
