Y'know, all the flak this figure's been getting about those clearly visible screws above the shoulders be damned, this is a slaggin' awexome figure and high up on my buy list.

jAaM-tastic

Ugh... Why my shoulders hurt?
The shoulder kibble is awful.

Apparently he's completely unposeable (well in the arms, legs are OK) and Jolt cant even stand up unless you bend him forward 45 degrees at the waist.

I was going to get him (or the Henkei version) until I found that out.

Hot diggity DAMN.

Okay, he's beyond must own.

There's $13.00 I'll happily spend. It's a shame he doesn't come with the weapons though. (Not a big deal anyway, I rarely, if ever, used his missile launcher, and he couldn't really hold the engine gun without looking doofish.)

This one pwns.

Looks all right to me. I'm sure I can find a generic gun somewhere to give him.

Lol, doesn't look anything like the Hot Rod I remember, he looks more like a weird version of Bumblebee imo. :-?

Thanks. I wasn't too sure. Either way, he looks interesting.

Looks more like a strange combo of G1 Jazz and Bumblebee in car mode.

Definitly an improvement on the orginal.I'll try and get this one, as Jolt's lack of articulation doesn't worry me. If he can hook onto his bulkmate, then so be it!

like it a lot!- but do you think the Henkei's hotshot will have clear side windows- the painted ones- seem out of place when 70% of them are clear? i don't know maybe i'm just being pickyyyyyyyy.....

If this doesn't sell you on the Universe figure, nothing will.

Looks like he'll have very limited shoulder mobility but the double elbows and rotating upper arm is good. I'm concerned that the windows on the back of the legs will get in the way of his knees.

I'm also worried that the last Universe figures won't reach the UK cos of the Movie line. That's what happened last time.

After reviewing old news threads about this, I think his shoulder articulation won't be so bad.

If that happens to be the case, BBTS is your best bet. Beyond that, I'm sure a fellow Seibs poster would be more than willing to assist you in finding the figures you need.

A polite call for help is all that's needed and those who can, will do their best to help out. I should know, I've had more than one member aid me when needed.

There's good people here.

i dont see the problem with shopulders that everyone keeps bringin up the original has the same problem with the shoulders this one looks better & wasnt there allready topic about this theres been over 5 topics on this figure its hard to keep track.

definatly buy for me heel be my second armada figure in my collection i am actually surprised to say ill be getting the hasbro version & not the henkei they both almost look extreamly acute alike if you dont count the chrome on the henkei version

I'd say there's a 99.9% chance the answer is no...They chose to mold the door out of yellow plastic and then paint the window rather than mold it out of clear plastic and paint the entire door...As much as I hate when they make a toy with both clear and painted windows, it's probably for the best...Whenever they try to match paint with the same colour of opaque plastic it's always a fail...Look at Classics Bumblebee for a case in point...

I don't think many people are really disputing the fact that he looks better than his original toy...But "not as ugly" doesn't really translate into "pretty"...

:)
