Hasbro's Stupidity

I don't know if it's like this at other stores but at the local Walmart the selves are full of Animated toys and there are hardly any Universe Classics. This tells me one of two things: 1) Hasbro puts out alot more Animated products or 2) Fans prefer Universe Classics. If it's the former, fine! It it's the latter, Hasbro needs to get their heads out of their asses. This is a product that is so popular that it don't stay on the selves and they are going to put it on haitus. WTF? Granted I'm a little biased. I love anything that is G1 inspired which does NOT included the movie lineup and barely includes Animated.
Does anyone know which case it is? What do other Universe lovers think?

Well it's not really Hasbro's fault.

The retail stores actually place the orders with Hasbro based on quantities they believe will sell. So it is actually the retail outlet that you should be angry at not Hasbro.

If you want to get more stock in the store talk to the store employees and tell them to order more of it.

And if that doesn't work talk to the store management, Tell them every time you go to the toy aisle it is empty and understocked. And try to find out when the stores delivery dates are.

I would get a cart and fill the thing jam-packed full of expensive merchandise then find a manager...explain your dissatisfaction of the TF situation and if they don't give you an answer to your liking make a huge commotion and scream about how you were going to buy all the s**t in the cart, but because their customer service sucks the fat one you're going to go buy it from whatever the nearest competition is instead and walk out.

Good luck...let us know how it goes.

How about using Hasbro Toy Shop with the free shipping code. Problem solved.

This may be true but Hasbro is still putting Universe on hiatus so I think I can be angy with them. But I'm not...just really, really disappointed :P

Huh? Not sure how this applies to the thread? Though not a bad idea for getting the elusive Inferno.

Ok, ok...skip the screaming and just remain calm as you tell them their customer services sucks the fat one and you're going to go buy everything from whatever the nearest competition is instead and walk out. It's the same concept, only you're the only one that gets to enjoy it if you don't make a big commotion and draw attention to the situation. But to each their own...

yeah...the thing of it is...Despite all the Universe lovers around here, I'd bet an insane amount of money that the majority of Transformers sales at local discount department stores come from the mothers of small children...And those small children care WAY more about Animated than Universe because Animated is what's on their TV...

Wal-Mart and the like are going to focus on what's bringing the biggest numbers...If us Universe devotees were the majority of the demographic, I doubt the line would be getting put on hold...Hasbro and the stores selling their products are looking at where the most money is coming from...and though a chunk of it comes from us, it's probably not the bigger chunk...Frankly, I'm just glad there's enough of us to keep them making Universe at all...

But I wouldn't go so far as to call Hasbro stupid...They are a business and businesses do what they must to make money...

It's been stated numerous times, even from employees of the big chains, that Animated sells better then Universe. The only reason why there's always TFA stuff there is because the stores sell out on them and thus order a lot of TFA.

True and to be honest... i've spent more money on TF Animated figures
(Blitzwing, Lugnut, Swindle) than Universe (Cyclonus and Hound)

So is there actually an active free shipping code, or was that just BS?

The shops around here aren't selling TFA stuff. They stock it but they aren't shifting it. I wish they would so they could restock and get in a Blitzwing for me.
