Is there a error variant animated voyager optimus? Ive got 2 so far at 2 different walmarts. The logo is in the wrong place. The 6 others I have you cannot see the logo on the side. I saw an auction for one of these on eBay a while ago.

Boo. Ugly and out of place. Glad I already picked mine up earlier.

Is this the new revised wave that is just coming out?

That's not an error, and the Autobot insignia is not in the wrong spot. That's an intentional design change. I remember reading about it right here on Seibertron months ago, but I haven't seen it in stores yet. I think it's an improvement. (Also, it's a great figure, so if you don't have an Animated OP yet, this is the one to get!)

6 others? 2 more? As in 8 total? Either way, whether 6 or 8, why?

I am surprised at this question.

Although there seem to be so many people who are unimpressed with the
Animated there are just as many who are happy with them.
Prime toys almost always become a target for collectors years down the road. It's a common trend among these toys.

There may be a level of disdain among some collectors about hoarding,
it is done to profit later on down the road, as long as the market doesn't fall out from under it's feet.

If it wasn't done by some there would be no MISB versions of these toys down the road. I personally love to get a figure that is years old and be the first one to bust it out of it's packaging.

Whatev...but if that's indeed the reason I would think there to be better investment opportunities available that don't present the same storage challenges.

I'd wager it's not so much the laughing you'll get around here as you'll get a mixture of anger, annoyance, and just plain pissed that you bought so many, especially from guys who can't find him anywhere, if those people still exist.

Me? I don't care one way or another. Heck, if you've got the dough to buy 8 Voyager Primes, I want to be your best friend....

Now, for my birthday...

It's all good, but you're right, I won't be laughing because if that's actually the case it's more likely because $100 five years from now is only worth like $35 now.

Honestly I think you'll be waiting a lot longer than 5 years to get anywhere near $100 for him. How many standard release Primes put out in the last 10 years regularly sell for $100 now? And most those Primes were larger than Voyager class so their MSRP was about twice TFA Prime's to begin with and most of them can be had for around $50. And they haven't hit 5 years old yet, but the two Voyager sized Primes I can think of off hand, Alternators and Classics, can both be had for about $30.

No, we will be laughing when you're selling them on eBay for $19.99 with the Buy It Now option. Animated TFs will never appreciate in value the way G1 and other early TFs do.
