Hi, I've been reading this forum for a while but just registered today...
I was wondering how many different versions of Wheeljack there are...
I know of the Downshift (Energon) and Downshift (Cybertron)
as well as the Alternator version and of course the G1 version, but are there any others with Wheeljack heads?

You've got all the transforming versions I can think of.
There is also a charecter called Wheeljack in Armada, but he is only Wheeljack in name.

I'm fairly certain thats it. Wheeljack didn't get released in G2, and the speculation is that the original mold was lost or destroyed. The name of course was used in Armada for a different charater, and then you have the two Downshifts and the Alt version. There was also an actionmaster version I think, and the European exclusive Actionmaster Slicer used Wheeljacks mold so has his head.

Well, aside from those versions, there was the pitiful Spy Changers Wheeljack which tried very hard to as G1 as it could be. That best it did was the colors. As for a Wheeljack that didn't transfomr other than AM Wheeljack, there was HOC Wheeljack. That's about all I can think of.

TFU.info is a little outdated, hasn't gotten around to the last waves for Cybertron let alone Classics, or anything else, but still has most older version, up to energon.
And has this to say about Wheeljacks.
http://www.tfu.info/1984/Autobot/Wheelj ... eljack.htm Wheeljack
(1984)
Decoy
Wheeljack
(1986)
Actionmaster
Wheeljack
(1990)
Armada Wheeljack
(2003)
Spychanger
Wheeljack
(2004)
Alternators
Wheeljack
(2005)
Plus the 2(Energon,Cybertron) Downshifts, I think that's pretty much it.
He did not even make it into the Movie roster.
Maybe if Hasbro decides to continue the Classics line after the movie, we'll get a Classics Wheeljack.

I like the Spy Changer Wheeljack. If the Spy Changers had rubber wheels nobody would dump on them. I will get a second Go-bot Crasher and change the wheels. And to think I had to read this to get that idea even though I have them both sitting on my monitor side by side.

Well ther still is Beast Wars Rinox. He may not be called Wheeljack but if you look at the Head, imagin he's got W. ears and clwoes his mouth and cange the color vola Wheeljack. That only works with the animated one and his prsonality is the same. I alwayes imagened Rinox to be the new Wheeljack if you don't agree I don't care.

Energon Downshift looks great as Wheeljack and I think it would look fantastic next to the other Classics...
I agree that Rhinox is the Wheeljack equivalent and I hear what you're saying about the head.
Thanks for all the quick replies
time to try and find an energon downshift on ebay...

There was a Universe Downshift that was very Wheeljacky.

Ehm, because he was based on
Energon Downshift?
Here's a review of him.

I never thought of it, but a Classics Wheeljack would be pretty cool. Here's to hoping A) that there could be a Classics Wheeljack and B) that this thread doesn't become filled with "Classics was just a filler line before the movie and Hasbro has no intentions of continuing it and we all know that and blah blah blah blah" posts.

I've just been using Energon Downshift for Classic Wheeljack.
Universe Inferno for Classic Red Alert.
Energon Inferno for Classic Inferno.
Energon Roadblock for Classic Grapple.
Cybertron Smokescreen for Classic Smokescreen.
They pretty much are just what I'd want anyways.

Because it's not Wheeljack, it's exclusive to the Diaclone line. That's like saying that the red, white, and light grey Diaclone F-15 and the black and purple F-15 are the same. Even the heads between Wheeljack and Marlboor are quite different.

If you mean Starscream and Skywarp, only Starscream and Thundercracker were Diaclone originals. Skywarp is a TF original repaint.

Heh, sorry.
But my point remains - Marlboor is not an "incarnation" of Wheeljack, he's a remold of the original Wheeljack. He's no more Wheeljack than Bluestreak is Prowl.
