New mini-con singles at BigLots
and Cybertron collection legends.

My local BigLots had an entrie 3 tier shelf of transformers
They had mini-con singles for $4, universe basic scout $7.50, cybertron cellections legends $5, and optimus vs megatron universe $19.

I thought Big Lots was supposed to be a discount store. $4 each for mini-cons?
Those Basic Scouts are probably the same ones they've been selling at Family Dollar for $5, so it looks like they marked them up 50%.
And they've been trying to unload those OP vs Megatron packs at Big Lots and grocery stores and everywhere else for at least a year now.
What other Cybertron Legends did they have? Those are the only ones I'd be interested in, although I suspect it's the same exact ones that were in the recent Target exclusive Legend "Team Leader" 5-packs.

ill never buy the op vs megatron
as far as the minicons the package has the 25th ann logo so i believe thats why they are $4

I kinda think so. Sad that even these figures are getting hit by the price increase, though.
Last time I posted in the toy haul thread I included that I picked up this release of Breakdown. They hadn't set up the display spoken of in this thread yet, but I'd found a display box of the U1.0 scout-class figures on the floor in the toy isle. It was going through them that I picked up and bought the Breakdown.

Looks to me like these are also single-carded versions of (at least some of) the mini-cons used in the K-Mart exclusive... wasn't it a 12 pack? Anyway, these look like those repaints of the Classics mini-cons. If I manage to get in there this weekend I'd have a look, see if there's any I'd wanna buy.

I wonder if BigLots bought up a bunch of that stuff from KB Toys.
Will check out my local BigLots and report for the CA Bay Area.

Yes the mini-cons are some of the kmart "no so exclusive now" 12 pack.
since K-marts days are limited they prolly get what they dont sell.
Whats funny the lady in the checkout told me tey just put those out on tuesday and told many people called looking for them.

My local Big Lots didn't have the Minicons in the system yet, so they wouldn't scan. A manager went to the computer and simply typed in "Transformers", and got like eight entries. He looked at the size of them, back at the screen, and said "That's probably them, right there," and pointed to an item simply labelled 'Transformers'.
The price?
They charged me $2 each. Only wanted two, the yellow fire truck and blue muscle car.
...Now to repaint said muscle car into the General Lee...

Looks like a lot of this stuff is cast off from the downfall of KayBee.
The legends class stuff looks like the same makeup that was being sold off there, and had been discounted to a buck last week.
And I think Universe Scouts were KayBee exclusives.

I'm glad I already got all those Scouts at Family Dollar for $5.
I'll pass on the $4 mini-cons, since I already have the original versions of all of them.
I'm going to look for those Legends though, particularly Hot Shot.

If you want those [4] legends class buy them at Family Dollar.
They will save you $1.50 each at $3.50 a piece.

My guess would be whichever one was in the recent Target "Team Leaders" Legends 5-pack.
[EDIT] Oops, my bad. I just realized that was Hot ZONE, not Hot SHOT. I assumed the Legends would all be from those Target packs, just like the mini-cons are from the Kmart pack. Looks like that's not the case.

Notice that the "Blight" in the
Kmart pack has "takara" stamped into his plastic
and the 25 anniversary single packed "Blight"
has "Hasbro" stamped into his plastic

I popped into BigLots and Family Dollar and Dollar General today just to take a peek...
Found the mini-cons and the Prime / Megs two-pack at BigLots but didn't buy any of it...If I'm going to get the Prime and Megs I'd rather get the repaints and I figure if I want a bunch of minicons (which I really don't) I'd just get the 12-pack from KMart which is a better deal anyway...
The two dollar stores had the Cybertron Legends, the Universe Scouts and the weird Spy-changer clear guys...I bought the little clear Mirage for $2.00 just for the hell of it...Coolest thing about him is that he comes with a gun...

Don't blame you for passing on the two-pack. Not really sorry I bought them back when they came with the DVD, but out of the original Classics line these are my two least favorite.
I like the single-carded mini-con idea though
(though it kind of ruins the idea of the 12-pack being K-Mart exclusive). While the 12-pack may be a better deal, I'd pay $4 a piece for the ones I want and pass on the ones I don't. I remember BigLots had the mini-con repainted from Firebot, for example; I don't mind having the original figure but I remember the new deco being bad. Blight, however, is much better than Dirt Rocket as far as deco goes, however. Reminds me of the KB-exclusive
Energon Demolishor, only without the dark purple. For me the option of passing is a good thing.

Yeah they are pretty crummy...But I loves me some Optimus / Megatron action so I still want them for my collection...But I DEFINATELY like the reapint of Megatron better than the green one...
And the minicons, yeah I can see why you'd want to pick and choose...I just don't really like minicons period so if dor some reason I decided I wanted some peppering my collection, I'd just get the 12-pack because I'm not at all particular about it...
But I don't expect I'll even get that

There's two reasons for it.
The first is that I've already bought all these molds back when they were first used in Classics. There's really no need for me to buy all of them again. If I weren't eventually able to complete the mini-con portion of my Classics collection, I'd actually think about picking up this set.
The second: Suppressor and Backstop. And maybe Bodyblock. A few that I'd be disappointed with in an otherwise good set wouldn't be such a bad thing if I hadn't already bought the Classics versions already to begin with. But if the option of buying some of the ones I wouldn't mind having in my collection and bypassing the ones I really don't feel I need is available,
why not?
