When I heard there was a Allspark Rubiks Cube coming out I thought that was a fairly brilliant idea...Until I actually saw the thing...I really don't know why they decided to stick with the stark rainbowy colours of a regular Rubiks Cube...I mean, obviously the thing needs to be solvable so I'm not saying it should look the same on each side, leaving only the symbol configuration to to be your guide in figuring it out (that would blow hard)...But they could have at LEAST made the sides different shades of brown and gray, rather than red and blue and such...It would still be a bit harder but seriously, how many people who would buy the thing are actually going to try and work it? I hate those things personally and it would soley be a display piece for me...

Anyway, the whole thing seems like a horrifically missed opportunity for what could have been a really cool product...


Then I got to thinking...Reprolabels should make an Allspark "upgrade set" for a Rubiks Cube...I bet that would be awesome!

I would most certainly buy that upgrade set.. The idea of an Allspark Rubiks cube is pretty cool, and I understand why the colours are on it.. but your right.. sticking with the standard colours is abit 'in your face'.

Brilliant idea Typh0id, contact them and ask. They do listen to input from the fanbase, enough requests and they usually do the set. Great idea though, very smart thinking on that one. I don't care much for what I saw either.

That right? I'll have to run it by them, then...I'll point them to this post so if enough people think this is a cool idea maybe they'll just give it a go
