After 48 hours of availability, the BotCon Convention sets are over 60% sold-out!

We increased production numbers significantly from last year.

Even so, the demand for this year's set is out pacing last year.

That's pretty amazing. More people come yet FP can't keep up with the growth it seems. Can't wait for the Scourge preview

Are they limiting the number of sets per person this year? I haven't seen anything about it and thus assume that they aren't

I'm glad I got my order in yesterday.

It's amazing that 60% sold out and we dont even know or seen the rest yet excep for Kup or maybe I'm been tuned out for too long. But anyhow, Kup looks weird in the chosen mold and the color is "gay" IMO. Also heard some where that animated mold might be part of the set which is a major turn off for me. Will skip the set and save up for Henkei line instead.

It's not purple or rainbow colored, those being the traditional colors of the gay pride movement. Could you please explain a bit more how this color is 'gay' when it's the same color scheme as the G1 Kup toy?

Wow, I was gonna hold off another week to be sure I had the money together a bit easier but now I'm gonna have to scrounge and get in ASAP.

Interesting to note that the figure sets were made available about a month and a half earlier last year and sold out around this same calendar date.

First of for gay pride movement, the color is not limited to rainbow or purple. Secondly, what I'm trying to say is the color does not look right for this particular mold. Maybe on a deluxe class but not on voyager class mold.

As for the rumor I've heard...well that's why I said I heard and I'm glad that animated mold wasn't included.

I'm bummed out that I couldn't get the customizing class. Wednesday is still open, but I can't do that day. At least I was able to fax in my requests for 2 Primus packages. 1 for me and one for my Dad!

When do they do the panels and announce all the upcoming goodies? I know about the dealer room, but apart from that I couldn't see anything that said when various panels would be up.

Gosh Darnit!!!! I can't afford to get the set yet and its gonna sell out!!!! DAMMMMMM!!!!!!!

It's hard for me, too. But I think I'm gonna fax it in and wrangle some cash over the next few days before they process it. They usually take a few days to do that/

Is this data a fair assumption that Botcon is growing exponetially each year, or that the number of scalpers is growing? Or both?

Having been to the last 2 Botcons I'd say it is both. They unfortunately let people get multiple primus packages so I saw certain dealers carrying around 10+.

What are the chances that Scourge is a remold of E-Sharkticon?

I wanna see more pics, but am not sure if it'll be around. Damned fiscal responsibility....

I'm thinking Scourge is gonna be the large figure in the set this year, being the only Decepticon in the boxed set. Anyone got any ideas for a good Voyager mold that might work for Scourge?

I really, really, really, really, really hope it doesn't sell out by next Tuesday. If I'm gonna go, I assume I need to have the money when I fax in the app for it, and that's why I need to wait until Tuesday to do it. Not concerned about airfare (because I can buy that nearer to the actual event I think, as long as I plan ahead) and the room I'll need (shouldn't have to pay for that until I actually go, right?)... I just don't have the money to set all of it up right this second.
