This... actually looks better than the Deluxe class version. In fact, with a new head and a repaint, it could pass for Classics Skids.

Head still needs to get replaced, though.

Yeah thats bad really really bad. Was bay on drugs or some thing when he thought that up? And was hasbro when they said ok? The mold looks decent but that head its horrible.

Aw, poor mudflap... He has a deformed face.

On a more serious note, though...
What paint thinners was Bay sniffing when he thought of that?

Actually, I don't even see the need for these two. We already had twin autobots. Sideswipe's already in the film, so what would have been wrong with Sunstreaker, too?

I guess these two would have been ok, though... If they had faces that didn't look like they'd been melted by acid.

I wouldn't have posted something so similar lol.
You're completely right, though.

Something tells me Bay is not up on the new TF slang.

"Looks like the hybrid found himself a new friend... a total mudflap!" Wasp: Autoboot camp

Such a shame this design is so poor. I'd second the Classics Skids repaint potential, but Id want to replace the arms as well as the inbred-robo-hillbilly headsculpt.

I've been a movie-verse supporter so far, but I have to call Bay on the carpet for this one & his twin. Bad Bay, BAD! But I have to wonder if Bay called for these or if the marketers told him it was a good idea.

the toy isnt bad except for the head. the sculpt is great but the design it depicts is unappealing.
i hope someone in hasbro is reading these threads about the twins and cutting a scene with them to add some time for optimus or something, nobody seems to like the twins. its almost sad.

Apparently Mudflap and Skids ride on the "short bus".

Ever since the first pictures of Skids and Mudflap, I just knew that the two of them would be the obnoxious comic relief that everyone wants to see die horribly.

I know that's not really relevnt to the toy, but I couldn't hold it in any more.

Like the grippling hook, though. Too bad they didn;t have someone better to give it to.

I wonder if George Lucas called Bay and Spielberg up and suggested these guys. The looks as though they could be distant relatives of Jar Jar.

He's a butter head. The rest of the toy is great, though.

Funny, everyone is blaming Bay for the design. I'm sure ILM and Hasbro had more of a hand in the head's design than the film's director. Just some food for thought.

It's funny how a couple of years ago so many of us were in an uproar over the movie toys and we were all just Bay haters. Fast forward to the present and it seems like more people are coming to reality Bay and company don't know how to design Transformers. I have a 2 year old niece that could give him some pointers :-?

Nevermind what Bay and Hasbro were thinking, what's General Motors going to say about all thier nice shiny new cars transforming into such retarded looking things? Not good PR, is it?
