Ryan is at it again, and this time the Miscellaneous toy section has been updated with 2 new rather interesting Transformers. Takara Tomy has braught us a new idea of Trasnformers, they are calling it the "Sports label". Takara Tomy teamed up with Nike to bring us a red Nike Free 7.0 Convoy and a black Nike Free 7.0 Megatron figures. These amazing figures tranform from a Nike shoe to robot and back. What is so inovative about these figures is that we have never really seen anything like it before! To top it all off they come packaged in their own Nike style shoe box. So be sure to check out these 2 new figures and post what you think of them!

I like the box, and the gun, but that's aktuly it.

These look awesome. What a great novelty concept. I can't wait to get mine, they shipped yesterday.

I don't really like them but they are reasonably well executed, given the idea.

I am not a big fan of keeping stuff MIB or displaying boxes.

However, in this case, the packaging is half the fun.

I just thought of the perfect word for these figures: droll.

They actually look OK...now, I wonder how they'd look on gestalts

Nope, they are shell formers. So the insides are filled with the bot mode parts.

I'd get Megatron and have predking wear it

They are 1/2 scale according to their box.

Well I posted this in the toy haul thread but might as well post my Nike Free 7.0 story here.

My Nike Free 7.0 set came in today (the 8th) from BBTS. Unfortunetly the box was left outside and it rained all day. I came home to a soggy box and the Nike Transformer Boxes inside were wet as well! Megatron had a few sploches (barely any water damage) but Convoy was pretty bad on its upper right corner(totally soaked) and some dampness on the bottom.

Fast forward 2 hours and luckily both have dried out quite nicely and you can barely tell at all that there was any water damage.

Ive been toying with Megatron and I like the figure a lot. I wish there was more articulation in the elbow but other then that what a great figure. It was also nice and complicated as well.

Oooh, that absoklutely sucks. I would have been ripped if that happened to me as I love the packaging for these.

Am I the only one who absolutely loves these?

How long do you recckon before they make a white pair of sneakers with prime's head and call it Ultra Magnus?

I really think this is one of the dumbest ideas. A Transformer that costs that much shouldn't be so pathetically lame. In both idea and execution. Sheesh. Luckily for them, there are still fans that will buy a turd as long as it turns into a robot with a recognizable name.

By turd you mean protoform, right?

They're not all that bad, but there seems to be an awful lot of kibble and the laces look like they'd get in the way (of like... everything).

But, but, they come in Nike boxes and wear little nikes.

Dare I say it, they are so damn.....cute.
