We are working on the new Photocontest, the first for this year, and we wanted to ask for your theme ideas.
If we use any idea, you'll be given proper credit. The ones we don't use for this Photocontest, we'll probably store for future use.
Thank you all for your suggestions.

Valentines days....
Although this is a Photoshopped effort, it's an example: Girls Love Evil I would be afraid of the sickening ideas some people would do though, and I know if such ideas were to win, I could not, under personal ethical code, make sigs for such entires. But it's an idea..
Someone suggested something cool and I thought it woudl be fun... OH yes, the Historical Moments, that could be alot of fun!

The Historical Theme is being considered. We just wanted to have some more options.

How about "A Day In The Life" ?

I think we should start the year off with a 'Heroism' theme.
Any number of figures, support allowed, and an open definition of what it takes to be a 'hero'.

I like the Historical Idea. That sounds very promising.
Here's another idea, though not as good: Re-creating video game scenes with Transformers! Like Super Lambo Bros, where Sunstreaker and Sideswipe would slide down pipes, or something. Though I imagine that making HUDs would be difficult.

How about something topical, 'full reset'?

Heros.... I am not big on heros, that idea does not appeal to me.
Reset... How would you make a shot of a reset.... Hmmmm *cogs turn*

You'd have to use your imagination which would separate the imaginative inspired photographers from the talented diorama makers. Personally I think this contest should be about imaginative interpretation the topic and well composed photographs not making a background to stand you TF in front of and snap a joky hoiday photo of as it has been of late.

I posted this in the TF General Discussion thread, but i am going to re-post it here:
How about "The Best Laid Plans..." where the scenes relate to an original evil scheme or just foolish plan in general, or the plan can be a scene from a movie or cartoon. With actors or characters replaced by oh-so-cool transformers

The last one was just a still frame from a movie, what i meant was the have scenes of someone explaining a diabolical plan. Kind of in the honor of the G1 and BW Megatron's.
One group of evil plots that pop to mind are Dr. Evil's plans in the Austin Powers movies, or Blofeld in the James Bond movies.

sorry got the wrong end of the stick. Please can it not be another "recreate a scene/movie poster/image from...." we've had way to many of them and they are the opposite of what I'm talking about.

How about, your Transformers have been shrunken down to the size of toys. Create a battle scene as if your Transformers are small robots running around loose in your home. This is different than usual because normally you try to disguise your props to be something else. Well, now there's no need for disguise. Props, come as you are.

Versus you, or versus they're opposing factions?
If it's against opposing factions, that's pretty cool. I like that idea. Masterpiece Prime vs. Masterpice Starscream, dueling it out with pencils, staplers....
I like it

. Great suggestion!
Oh, and I'm gonna suggest Sports again.

How about Gen. 1 v/s modern transformers -- like G1 optimus being mocked by MP optimus b/c he can only move his legs forward and backward, Stuff like that. I think that would produce some interesting ideas..! What do you all think?

I'd say Transformers fighting each other. Transformers only, for figures. Anything else is apart of the surrounding environment.

1) Mini/Micro Madness - Construct a scene of Minicons, Micromasters, or similarly sized TFs terrorizing or being terrorized by one of their larger cousins.
2) Fortified - Build a fortress/command center/HQ/Bunker for your TFs.

In Transition:
In comics, thransformation is generally represented by some sort of picture squence, rather than a single panel.
Without photoshop, that's not very practical. So... With just they toys, get a shot of a transformer... well... transforming! How do you do this without them looking like they're just standing there, half-transformed? WEll, that's the challenge, isn't it?
